Sorry if this has been answered. I have a 13'. Could I just install a MCU and screen from a 2017' on up to 2020 address this eMMC?
Thanks
No, you need files from the flash drive in your OEM MCU that is specific to your car.
You can install our site as a web app on your iOS device by utilizing the Add to Home Screen feature in Safari. Please see this thread for more details on this.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.

Anyone in Colorado that can do this repair?
I don’t believe so for the emmc swap. You may be able to find someone to help remove the mcu so you can send the emmc to me for repair.
@dfdtruckie you can reach out to appleguruWhen do you need this done? I’ll be out in CO next week and could bring some gear to do the repair if you’re in a bind.
Wow, if you don't mind me asking, can you please tell us how you do the repair on the road (talking about the eMMC copy / swap, not the actual removal of the unit)? Genuinely interested to know and learn. Thanks. When do you need this done? I’ll be out in CO next week and could bring some gear to do the repair if you’re in a bind.

ThanksWell, I have a more complete BGA rework setup in my shop at home, but for a road repair I would pack a hot air rework station, and soldering iron primarily. (And some flux, solder, braid, solder sucker, screwdrivers...). As long as I have a level bench and some power, can do it.
If WK057 isn't doing preemptive repairs, is someone else doing them if your ship it to them?
Taking the dash apart is not that difficult if you take it slow and watch all the videos on this thread. @EVFixme will help with the other, more challenging part.Anyone in Seattle area who could help me with this issue. My screen went blank couple of days ago. I was able to drive the car back to my home and left it on charge.
Mine is 2015 car with AP1.
I am also looking for replacing the 3G modem with LTE if its doable.

Has anybody here had luck getting a SC to install certs after putting in a new eMMC? Mine was failed and unrecoverable. What words did you have to say to get them to do it?
