Hi all. I put in an order for a white ext, black int, long range, 19" wheel, tow hitch, no FSD on 3/22 and had my SA put it on hold. Yesterday I removed the hold and will see if I'm able to take delivery before June 30. As of right now it says "Estimated Delivery: 1 - 10 weeks from order placed date" so I'll be joining the rest of you in checking often for updates.

Is everyone checking the dates on their phone or desktop? I find that it doesn't show the estimated delivery when viewed on my iPhone and will only show when on my PC.
Updates show for me, on both iPhone and Mac/PC. Bad news is my dates slipped two days and now show June 21 - June 30.

Looks to be the majority (>50%) of March orders have been fulfilled, and a few April orders. 20+ March orders delivered in May. You also have to take in consideration those people who receive cars, but don't bother to record them. I've watched 2 YT videos today that claim they received their MYs over the past few days.
I wish I was one of those 50%. I ordered in March and don't even have a VIN yet.

Bottom line with Tesla:

1) The wait for the car is horrendous.
2) PRE-delivery communication is awful
3) The car is so amazing, you forget all about 1 and 2 once you have it.

Also, the dates, and even a VIN, mean nothing. They’re kind of markers on the road to delivery. Even a delivery appointment is nothing. I had mine moved 4 times before it was cancelled. I’ve seen people with “6-9 Weeks” get a call to pick up their car tomorrow and people with specific dates just have them delayed for months.

The part where it becomes real is when your a** sits in the driver seat of YOUR new Tesla for the first time.

This is the way.
This is the way

This is from another forum post. Looks like it is a Firmware issue. And how frustrating to get this text meant for another customer.

Delivery date changes:
5/06/21: June 02 - June 22
5/7 to 5/12: 6-10 weeks
5/13: Jun 15-Jun 30
5/14: Jun 16-Jun 30
5/15 to 5/21: 6-10 weeks
Ordered: April 10 ; Config: MY; LR; MSM; AWD; 5 seat; Tow hitch; all black interior ; no FSD ;no vin yet;
Same config, ordered April 5th, picking up at Westmont: Current date range is June 18-30 (was 2-6 weeks for the last week, and June 16-30 the week before that).

yep back to same 11 day spread.... June 19-30. which would actually be 11-12 weeks from order should that be the case.

sucks. Hard to not let Tesla doubt set in, wife wants to look at the ID4. I mean well wait for the Y, but.... This part of the process could be much better.
Let me know how you like the ID4. We test drove it before the test driving the MY. I have thoughts about it, but don’t want to let any positive or negative thoughts permeate your test drive. Have fun!

Is that a pre approval offer? If so, is there a way you can renew it? I have a pre approval for the same rates for my account expiring on July 2 and I am planning on taking delivery only in August. Can you let me know how can we renew it?
That's the pre-approval offer. I just renewed mine yesterday, you basically have to call in the day after it expires and re-apply. They'll know you applied the first time though and fill in the necessary information. They also needed my co-applicant to be present on the phone to confirm they wanted to apply again (and check credit).

Their number is 800-328-8797 and the extension for the loan officers is x9150.

I would love to hear your update later, as I am also picking up from that location. I am so beyond frustrated with this whole process, I just emailed my SA (Rob) and got an email back saying he is out of the office until the 24th 😤 I ordered on 3/20 and haven’t had a delivery date range or any other information on the order site for weeks. Just get the run around when I call or email
Call the Schaumburg service center directly and choose option #4 to talk to a delivery specialist, they're pretty helpful at the Schaumburg location. Otherwise, I would even call other Chicagoland stores to find someone that will check your account to see why you're not getting a delivery date range.

After yesterdays debacle, we are now slated for June 14-30 (NJ delivery)

I'm moving to Chicago on June 26 and did not plan on coming back to NJ for delivery. The savings in taxes is significant.

Model Y LR, White/Performance Rims/Black interiors/FSD
Ordered 4/8, completed financing.
No VIN date

Just spoke to Jacob at Alpharetta-Roswell Location here in GA. Really friendly guy. Said they have been getting cars in and having them go out slowly. He said he isn't sure what is happening as CA doesn't give them a lot of details, but he is expecting a ramp up in deliveries here soon. So he couldn't comment on firmware or any other issues. Just that CA is the one delaying things and he didn't know why.

He did look at my account and everything looks good, except the fact that no VIN has been assigned and just to hold tight. Today is 1 month, since I ordered my Model Y.

Yeah I test drove the ID.4 as well, before ordering the Model Y. Amazing car, incredible value. I loved the powered sunshade and massaging seats. I appreciated the quality fit and finish. If every legacy OEM made as much of an effort as VW, then the marketplace will be rich with choices beside Tesla, and that will be a great thing for competition and general adoption of sustainable transportation.

I'll be swinging by the San Antonio SC tomorrow for another test drive. I'll scope out the situation on the lot to see if they too have MY/M3s on the lot waiting for customers. Our SC is remarkably tiny for how big of an area it serves so I wouldn't be surprised if it is either empty, or full up!

I had the chance to sit in the front and back seat of an ID4 before they were available as Volkswagen had Test Cars in my area (Tampa area) and I saw the test drivers frequently at local chargers and I got to talk with some of them and they invited me to check out the car.. When you have a tall driver, the rear legroom is nowhere close to the Model Y.. I'm going from my Hyundai Kona Electric which is a GREAT car with way underrated range to the Model Y for rear legroom as the kids are getting bigger but also because of the Supercharging Network.. ID4 has lots of great features like door handles that are lighting up at night etc. but it does not have the space that a Model Y has. As I wanted to go bigger, the Y is a much better choice.. I also prefer the minimalistic approach of Tesla when it comes to the interior..
