It is home delivery. My SA responded this morning saying they unmatched my VIN, as requested, even though “he’s not supposed to do that”. I guess only delivery specialist are supposed to do that. My SA is not at the SC where I’m picking up and although the VIN momentarily disappeared from my account, moments later it is still tied to me (and preventing me from being re-matched to another VIN).
I went to the SC in person to sort this out and am glad I did. I saw the car in person and it has several flaws that I would have rejected anyways, just like what someone else probably already did. There is a dent in the rear hatch, the hood is misaligned, no HEPA filter of course, and the hood hinges have paint peeling off.
I am definitely glad to wait for another VIN. I don’t know how correct the folks at the Rocklin SC are but they’re telling to prepare to go back to the end of the queue. At first one of them even scared me by saying I would have to pay new current pricing if I unmatched and rejected this VIN, which makes no sense. Anyways, I confirmed with them to please unmatch me ASAP. It is surprising that they can’t do it on the spot. I received some explanation about how I matching places the car in holding and the then have to match it to someone else before they can unmatch me.
