I think it’s best to look at inventory offerings regularly. Sometimes you can snipe a demo car that’s in transit or just arrived, and get it delivered with basically no miles driven. Honestly I expect as reality sets in over the tax credit and free supercharging transfers, inventory X’s will be in hot demand.

Considering Tesla has a public API that can honk the horn, I doubt it would be very heard to build a large bluetooth button that just honks the horn, and stick it wherever you want.
It's actually not that bad, if it detects an imminent accident it wouldn't hurt to blast the horn.
Also, probably even easier to detect a distracted driver when the light turns green and give them a hoot.

Elon cares about numbers, even "small" numbers. What would be interesting is trying to compare all the movements on the EDD's and see if there is in fact a pattern of the LR extending out more vs the Plaid orders.

Does this qualify for the Tax Credit? I don't think so but I was not 100% sure. 15 miles away from me though
Based on the MSRP: $80,990 > $80,000. The answer is NO. Please notice the tax rebate limit based on the MSRP, not the selling price.
You are in SoCal. So, keep your hope up. People in SoCal usually get their car the second half of the quarter which falls within your EDD. I think you will get your VIN soon

The automatic cancelling turn signals is one of the best features and, IMHO, really smart. It even recognizes when you’re changing multiple lanes. Very rarely do I have to manually cancel the blinker.You can set Teslas to automatically cancel turn signals. It uses logic to figure it out. Let’s say you use the right turn signal, once you complete the lane change, or the actual turn, it will turn off the turn signal automatically.
Once you get used to it, it’s awesome. I have to say, the first few weeks, it was annoying because I’d keep trying to turn it off when it already turned off, and basically be turning it on to the other direction.Other drivers must have thought I was an idiot. Except Tesla drivers… they understood i was just learning. “PATIENCE, STUDENT DRIVER”

What was your order date? I am in the OC also and ordered 9/27. I ordered the Tax edition with black paint. Current EDD is Nov 26 - Jan 7.
Based on the data points, about 75% orders placed from the 9/1 to 9/5 either got VINs assigned or took delivery. So you are the other 25%.
After complaining today finally got a VIN # today!
