Edit Design without affecting price now?

I called a SA. Apparently if you have already applied for financing, you won’t be able to edit. What she did was reset the financing, and I was then able to edit the design

Changed our blue MYLR7 order to a MSM MYP yesterday. EDD changed yesterday from September to June, and this morning we got our first ever date range for this car, which is April 23-May 28. Original OD was 2/26.

Given that the current estimate for new MYP orders is June, I do think that it ends up being based off of your original order date, and not the date you made the change.

Linked worked for me and maintained the pricing. However, it does look like the order agreement gets revised to the current date, so I do wonder if this bumps you to the back of the line.

Do you lose tire 1yr sub to premium data too?

I'm glad you and others folks who have switched to MYP are getting your vehicles so quickly, but where are these MYPs coming from? Was there really no one in the area with that spec on order already? Who knows with Tesla.

My guess is that if the order is old enough, you jump to the front of the line. Especially if you’re west coast right now.

All these MYPs, the LR is going to be the rare model on the road . I would have been all over the MYP if my wife didn't insist on the 7 seat option. I bought wheels and plan to get acceleration boost so it would have been for not much more.

Oh, I certainly am! Shorten the MYLR queue! I don't begrudge them their switch and earlier deliveries, heck, I almost wish I could join them!

Not really. I am sure they have separate lines to produce MYP and MYLR. So, by taking a P, it’s one less in the LR queue.

I see MYP as a separate queue, especially as they‘ve had a shorter EDD since this backlog started (I think). Anyone who flips to MYP shortens MYLR queue a tiny bit. It doesn’t bother me. Popping FSD orders to the front of the line does bother me, but this is how Tesla has decided they want to roll.

I just changed my order from MYLR to P. My LR EDD was Apr 1-15 (SoCal). We’ll see if the Performance upgrade would move me up in the queue.

Also just changed my MYLR to P and it kept my late Sept price of $60,990. Let's see how fast I get a VIN.

I wasn't able to edit because mine we set to cash, but I used the www.tesla.com/teslaaccount/edit-design/RNxxxxxxxx link and was able to edit. Seems like I lost my 1 year of premium connectivity though.

I switched our order last Friday from MLR->MYP original order date was 11/8 with an ever changing but last delivery date of May 17->June 28th. Today my EDD changed to March 26->April 7th.

It was a win win since I wanted a MYP. Just not a win for the wallet even though it’s not much more expensive.

Funny how all of the LR+AB vs P “value” arguments have gotten thrown out the window now that people understand cash is king. That reservation isn’t saving you any money. If you had ordered a P in the first place, you’d be drivin it by now!
