In our November “Brave Thinkers” issue, we’ll highlight people risking their fortunes, reputations, and in some cases lives in pursuit of big ideas. Over the years, this special annual issue has celebrated scientists, activists, artists, entrepreneurs, politicians, and others. They’ve embodied the mixture of intelligence, creativity, and courage that The Atlantic always aims to chronicle and encourage.
This year, we need your help. Is there a person in your community showing the kind of moral and intellectual courage that can inspire others? I threw in a nomination for Musk as well. True, he's no Mahatma Gandhi, but he fits The Atlantic's definition of "brave thinker" to a tee.
