One could argue that it is being done "by configuration" in that AP cars appear to be getting V8.0 first, before non-AP cars, correct?it is not by configuration nor by VIN. Some kind of algorithm that we do not know.

Yes. AP and US are the only two common points between all declared updated cars up to now.One could argue that it is being done "by configuration" in that AP cars appear to be getting V8.0 first, before non-AP cars, correct?
Would setting up folders for each letter and using folder nav work? The Media player ...
C'mon Tesla, don't you guys use this? The scrolling is horrible and you end up accidentally clicking and then have to back out and start over. Where's the quick-jump by first letter?
Any Blind Spot Monitor improvements?
How can they?? NO cameras watching the rear, NO radar in the rear!! BlindSpot with this HW will never work.

(edit : and wifi connected)
Move the map to the lower half of the screen, the toolbar at the top stays permanently visible.
Set the nav to the bottom pane.
One thing which changed on the media player that I sorely miss is the ability to get to artists or albums on my USB drive by touching the letter of the alphabet. Now it appears scrolling through dozens of pages or typing in a search (which did not find my content) are the only two ways to get to later sections of the catalog. Zydeco and Zappa are a very long way from Abba on my USB. In the past they were each two touches away from each other. My preliminary search attempts across all platforms did not find what was in my iTunes folders.
Is it unusual that "8.0" is 2.36.106 and 7.1 was 2.36.31? Really only a sub-dot release? Does that mean almost everything except the final UI has been living under the covers in the code for a while?
I got the update and will be able to tell you if it works in about an hour when I take my daughter to preschool. Unless someone else lets you know first.Tesla said that 8.0 would do off-ramps if you signaled, and 8.1 would do it automatically based on navigation. Has anyone actually tried it with 8.0 yet?
It's the same HW as nearly every other car with blindspot warnings that folks think do better.
I believe this is incorrect. Tesla uses Ultrasonic while nearly every other manufacturer uses Radar. Radar is far more reliable.
