"Logical Thought" had to chime in of course:

I was trying to avoid naming names on the other thread. :( Had he known or cared about the new ZEV credit rules, he'd know that in order to gain significant credits people would have to use it in significant numbers, for a significant proportion of their miles and still the credits gained would be less than for HFCVs.

that's a great suggestion above, that this be payable via the Tesla app. maybe even simpler to pay / make a reservation all via the touchscreen.

actually, the touchscreen could work together with the GPS and the reservation system to advise drivers of any delays at the swap station. wishful thinking considering the speed of Tesla updates (the swap station going live comes 18 months after their first announcement), but it's still great news to see this actually starting to happen.

"Good progress on battery swap station"

There are two small square windows on west side, one at 8' height and second at 2' height where the photo of control panels was taken at low angle. Both were left open with no glass or drapes.

No signage nor branding anywhere as of last night. There are just two Model S parked next to the swap station.

Hopefully the station will be fully automated. When do I really want the speed of a swap instead of waiting for the supercharger? Middle of the night. Would be costly to require a person to staff the swap station at all hours (or at least be on call).
