How many people are taking delivery of their Model X in March?

Updates for my Model X P90DL from DS, car is currently in painting process, should be out by tomorrow and starts the assembling process right after. After assembling, Tesla will inspect all electronics and test drive the car around their test track, then clean up and deliver to my designated Tesla center, which in my case is Costa Mesa. If I do the math correctly, 3/8 painting, 3/9-3/11 assembling, 3/12-3/13 weekend off days, 3/14 inspection, 3/15 test drive, 3/16 prep for delivery to Costa Mesa dealer, 3/17-3/18 on truck for to be delivered to Costa Mesa CA, 3/19-3/20 weekend, 3/21-3/22 Costa Mesa tesla prep the car, 3/23 and on I should get a call from Testa for the local pickup, celebration etc. This is just my estimate, time and date may vary. I think after 3/22, there should be hundreds of Model X been delivered to customers nationwide!

my understanding is that every car stays at the SC for at least 7 days... Even so you just might get it before the end of the month. Congrats!

Thanks! I have been waiting for 2 years for this car. I monitor the car every step of the process making the time goes so much slower. I am now fully understand the saying "A watched pot never boils" : )

I don't know. I have never seen Andrew in person. Always on phone with him. We will find out once we take delivery. : )

I also have Andrew as my DS... I was wondering if you contacted him first or he contacted you? I haven't heard from him ever even no introductory email or anything from him... he is just listed on "My Tesla" under Delivery Contact. I did email him on Monday to introduce myself and ask him about status but haven't heard back either.

My confirmed date is 1/18 and VIN 1782 assigned on 3/2, hidden code on tesla web says "Late March - April" estimated delivery... so I was wondering how and when you were contacted first by Andrew... I may try to call Costa Mesa tomorrow and try to track Andrew down over the phone lol...

I found estimated delivery March 7-14 buried in my HTML source:

"Estimated Delivery</h4><p class="section-description"><span class="SL_date" data-sl-dtfmt="%B %d, %Y" data-sl-tgtfmt="longDate">March 7, 2016</span> - <span class="SL_date" data-sl-dtfmt="%B %d, %Y" data-sl-tgtfmt="longDate">March 14, 2016"

That is consistent with my DS writing on March 4th my vehicle is "nearing completion" so its time to finalize method of payment. I'm a factory pickup, VIN 41X. One of my good friends and neighbors has the same DS and his VIN is a few +/- away from mine. Originally, I was P83 and he was P3,XXX.

This isn't necessarily true (at least not any more). They do keep the X for a few days at least to make sure that they test repeatedly over multiple days to look for intermittent problems that may not initially present themselves. But now that the quality on the line has improved, there does not seem to be any sort of mandatory holding period of 7 days. It may be a few days now.

I called him. As matter of fact I called Tesla sales and DS practically everyday for the past 2 month. If you been active you should hear something, just don't have to be as active as I were. : )

My DS told me we are all welcomed to bother them as much as we want. It shows our appreciation and excitement toward this amazing invention!

Ok so I called twice now with no answer from DS Center in Costa Mesa... I am guessing all of them busy and on phone :) I tried to transfer to Tesla HQ by pressing 0 instead of leaving voicemail first time but then it gets transferred nowhere... so second time I left them VM and asked to call me back with an update.

We're expecting to pick up March 19th. DS said it just shipped today and they will only need a couple of days to detail it. Ours finished production in January but due to leaky seals that needed replacing they held it at the factory for this long. We are production 16x. Nice to see many other X owners will be joining us on the road this month. Drive safe!
