Oh, I'm sure there were people who acted like jerks; after all, there always are. But we've all seen more than enough horror stories here to understand that Tesla's simply not in the same delivery-quality-and-servive ballpark as its competitors.
There's a reason, you know, that Tesla is the sole company selling cars in the United States that doesn't allow states to release their new car registration information to JD Power, so they can't contact new Tesla owners to gather data for their Initial Quality Survey:

The point is that Tesla needs to up their game. Considerably so, if they're going to stay competitive. Having invested close to a quarter-million dollars in two Model S cars myself, I hope they do, but I haven't really seen any sign they're doing so yet.
(It would be nice to have some empirical data on this. Dunno where to get any, though.)
