For the moment the only reliable way to get there is going south from Calgary.
Wrong thread for that discussion!Well, I don't know about the least used Tesla Superchargers, but I sure can tell you about the most crowded ones. They're all in the Los Angeles area on weekends. We had to wait at least 30 minutes at 11:30 pm one Saturday night at the Burbank SC. It was even worse at the SC in Santa Ana and Buena Park during the middle of the day on Sundays.
I made the link from Fort MacLeod to Missoula by overnighting at the Red Lion in Kalispell. Fun little trip through Glacier National Park was included as well.I used that one coming up north from Idaho. But had to overnight in Fernie first to get there from Coeur d'Alene. I see Fernie listed in the future supercharger list, so that might help improve access to Ft. McLeod
Was there enough range to make some side trips when going from Kalispell to Ft Macleod?I made the link from Fort MacLeod to Missoula by overnighting at the Red Lion in Kalispell. Fun little trip through Glacier National Park was included as well.
Yes, but I went in the other direction. Was there enough range to make some side trips when going from Kalispell to Ft Macleod?
I think that is getting to be almost a counter indicator. I never check in on Superchargers on Plugshare anymore because there is so much redundancy and great reliability that I don't feel it's much of a question anymore to even need to reassure people that they are working, like I would with a single plug J1772 station that can be really iffy.Based on (lack of) recent plugshare checkins, I'll nominate Tonopah, NV. Maybe Nevadans don't use plugshare, but no check-ins since October, 2019
We've charged there a couple times and it's been half full. I remember talking to the family in the Model S next to us last time. That's the one in the same parking lot with the big Casino, right?I was only Tesla in Primm NV, the last 4 times I've been there in 5 months.
Though that was quite odd given it is a huge travel hub for ice vehicles doing stops.
Sorry, I have confusement. WHICH 8-stall location would you use most???In the 3 years I've been paying attention, I've never seen more than one Tesla charging at the 8-slot location I would use most.
They do offer something in that direction at the design HQ, in Hawthorne California-- the big chart on the wall near the front door shows the most-used superchargers in the world--Wonder if Tesla would ever give info on general supercharger info.....in U.S. place with largest number of SC, most frequented, least frequented one, one with most amenities around it, one with best view, ect.......One of these days Tesla will go on 60 Minutes or something similar and give them a basic tour of behind the scenes of Tesla and the SC network/automobile/battery factories.....
We'll have to check that out. Is it as good as Wickenburg Arizona? That was awesome. I can't think of a way that it could have been better. Have you been to that one?Last spring when we were driving to the Custer rally, there were 10 Teslas at Lusk when we arrived. Of course they were all heading to Custer for the rally.
Blanding Utah is my favorite supercharger. We were there a couple of years ago before there were superchargers on I-70 in Utah. It is at the town park and visitor center. The visitor center has great docents on the area history and local attractions. I bet it does not have much use now that other options are available.
Well yes and no. No because Duluth is on route into Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Not everyone knows about the UP. What a grand piece of America-- unspoiled and beautiful, or at least it was in the mid 1980s when I was last there (In Marquette at Northern Michigan University).I honestly have no idea. But I would submit that it must be in a town that is towards the end of the Supercharger line.
Candidates would include Duluth and Parry Sound, Ontario.
Marathon is almost always used by people traveling to the Florida Keys. It never will be among the most heavily used, but it is always used. FWIW Marathon is among the rare breeds of Superchargers since it was funded by Florida Tesla Enthusiasts. Most of the use is from people who travel from the Miami area to Key West. Key West has no Supercharger yet, but has plentiful overnight charging options, which is really all one needs since Key West is, by definition, a destination. My guesses:
Worldwide: Nur-Sultan
US: Forks, WA or Marathon, FL

I'd like to go there again with the wife but the supercharger layout has not been there last time I checked---
When I hear people say that they want to go to Europe, or go to Hawaii, I always ask if they've seen the canyons of Utah, and the clear quiet landscape of the Upper Peninsula in Northern Michigan.
