From your location you're probably slated to get an Austin car like me, which has me wondering if they're getting ready to start doing white seats there.
I'd like to get an Austin car mainly because of my location and to support the local folks.

Ironically a few guys in California got Austin cars this month....Tesla doesn't like to follow the rules.....

I'm in a similar situation where my EDD was suddenly moved to a 2 week window (Oct 10-24). But then yesterday got pushed to a 4 week window (Oct 31-Nov 28).

Initial EDD: Nov 2022 - Feb 2023.
Second EDD: Nov 4, 2022 - Dec 30, 2022.
Third EDD on July 11: December 20 - February 14.
Fourth EDD on August 8: November 21 - January 2.
Fifth EDD on August 31: November 5 - December 17.
Sixth EDD on September 29: November 16 - December 21.
Seventh EDD on October 11: October 21 - October 31.

Today’s EDD was a narrower window and weeks earlier than the prior EDD. It did not include a VIN number so I’m taking this timeframe with a grain of salt. However, it appears that the trend of decreasing delivery waits due to the Austin ramp-up is continuing.

Eighth EDD this morning. October 25-30, a much narrower window.

Austin VIN number. 2022 model year. I assume it will come with the new door panels and cargo shelf but don't know about matrix headlights. Has anybody received a Model Y LR from Austin with matrix headlights lately?

There isn't a consistent pattern. I dropped down to 1 week from 2 weeks five days before the start of my 2 week window and received my VIN that same day.
Others enter their 2 week window and usually 1 day into it they get bumped out to a new 2 week window either 1 or 2 weeks further. I've seen others enter the 2 week window and then get bumped back to a 4 week window. Only occasionally have I seen people enter the 2 week window and then get a VIN and shorter window. I've also seen people go from 2 weeks to 10 days which is usually a positive sign but I've seen exceptions where even 10 day windows get bumped back to 2 weeks or worse.

Thanks. I would interpret your answer to mean that I probably won't see further updates to my EDD until some time in December. So there's no point in me checking my Tesla app 3x day.
