Mobile app update is coming but I am not impressed with the rumored features

Say what? What does radar have to do with rear/mirror defrosters? As far as summon, my app has it now, I'd have to say it would be odd to omit it from the new app unless it goes away until 8.1

Just got the new app for iOS. While it now looks pretty, that's all they did. I see no added functionality. Huge disappointment, although can't say I'm particularly surprised.

Just wanted to point out the close sunroof is available on my S using the prior official Tesla app. I would appreciate other options, as you suggested, especially given some of them are available through the API as 3rd-party apps have triggered them.

Any car I know does this except my Tesla. It just stops when I leave the car.

Open door, get up, hit brakes, THEN close door. The fans should stay on.

It does. So I guess that's one thing... Which I will never use.

Unfortunately, the one time they release a big update and my car is offline since it is in the service center. Doh!

Ok, so the widget is also there, along with force touch. Both can turn on climate, start the car, or unlock the car. It also updates much faster than before, basically instantly. So that's nice, but still very disappointed about missing cold weather features. Particularly given how many people have requested those features for such a long time.

Remember, it is possible there are additional features that are not activated until there is a firmware update on the car. It shows the current software version, so other features may be activated at a certain firmware release.

Did you try to enable it? New widgets don't just show up, you have to go to the bottom of the list and hit the edit button to add it.

Yes..There are no Tesla widgets listed on the Android widgets screen.
