Unless you are assigned actual delivery date (not just EDD) or have a car available before December 2 2021 you could theoretically still delay your delivery and be within the 30 day delivery window given in the ToS right?

I am in a weird situation. I got approved for this Tesla model 3 Nov 8th
I just got my Model Y delivery Nov 6th
I also got approved for a third model 3 I am assuming it’s because nothing is showing on my credit report yet. I want to wait for ev credit but deliver will be in January which by then will show both on credit report. I wonder if they can take back the approval before delivery.
I want to rent one out with Turo that is why I want the second and third model 3.

What total % does Turo take from the daily rental or total rental? - running a spreadsheet now to test economics of this business model.

Got my VIN last week and a text message yesterday to schedule my pickup! This coming Wednesday is my delivery appt! 2.5 month wait. Im so excited! Gray/White M3LR

Congrats! Which location are you picking up from?

Mine pickup is scheduled for Friday 19th at the Littleton location, but hopefully I can move it up sooner!

Further research - Turo Insurance: - Guessing the deductible is paid by the renter and not the car owner (host) - most of my cars have always been equal or greater than $2,000 deductibles.

"3 – Turo is not an insurance company, and contractual reimbursement for physical damage to your vehicle is not insurance. Turo will reimburse hosts for eligible physical damage costs in excess of the deductible, subject to terms and exclusions, for the lesser of the cost of repair up to the actual cash value of the vehicle or $125,000. For the Tesla Model X, Tesla Model S, and Tesla Model 3 only, Turo will be responsible for the cost of eligible repairs, after the deductible, subject to terms and exclusions, for the lesser of the cost of the repair up to the actual cash value of the vehicle, even if it is more than $125,000."

75Plan - Appears that a Model X would have to be rented at 245.22% of the Turo system daily average of $118.60/day ($291/day) with a total of 94 days/year rented to build up a profit that is equal to the $750 deductible risk - $110,000 drive out, 3.5% APR, 7 year note, 1,500 annual insurance cost.

I've also been reading without posting for a while (meaning ever), but my EDD just shifted later after a period of no change, so I thought I'd add my stats. I'm a bit outside of Chicago (close to the Highland Park location), OD 10/5/21, M3LR DBM/Black, 18" no FSD. From order date until today EDD 11/11/21 - 12/9/21, but now it's 11/21-12/5.

Received VIN this morning, EDD now 11/26-11/30. Will report any equipment issues in a couple of weeks.

No the 2022 tax bill. There is news that this week they will decide. So I’m holding off until I hear the latest news.

40 days order to VIN approx - Congrats - looks like you hit the recent average on order to VIN - congrats. 12-16 plus days till delivery!

Agree. The House is expected to take action in the coming week, but the prospects for the new/updated EV tax credit provisions in the Senate are dimming a bit. There's a separate thread Locking in a price in anticipation of the Federal Tax Credit for this discussion. I am going to take delivery at the end of this month assuming the car is in good shape.

What are people's thoughts? If I do take delivery in Dec 2021... is it a 2022 model? I guess it all depends on 2021 inventory... Can they make and then deliver a M3LR in that amount of time... ??

Im in Barrie, ON. Congrats on your purchase you're going to love it. The red is a sexy colour it was in my top 3. Even if you get the 2021 model its legit no different then the 2022. Identical 82 kwh battery, identical sound system, identical speed/features.

No. I have a received a text and email to schedule delivery. The dates are Nov 22-24 I was thinking of waiting for next week to see if there is any news. Did you get a VIN then turn it down? What did you say to have a hold? I’m just wondering if people who have a hold received a VIN

Ordered Oct 5, Delivery Date was Nov25-sometime mid Dec. Got updated to Nov11-Nov25.
It is LR, Black paint, black interior, Aero wheels. Unfortunately haven't seen a VIN yet, tried to call my rep this morning but he's probably on holiday.
Not sure how it usually goes, is it normal to get your VIN before the delivery window? Or should I be expecting it to get pushed back?

It got pushed back to Nov17-Dec15 and then back to Nov16-Nov25. Looks like even if you're in the window, it'll get pushed back if you don't have a VIN. Guess I won't be holding my breath next week either.
