I guess we aren’t going to be on the same shipment after all. Mine is now 6/7-6/27 (was 6/1-6/21 yesterday).

That is a bummer! I hope we get our cars sooner rather than later!

Yes. Changing configuration amounts to putting in a whole new order, so you'd be charged $500 more and lose your place in line.

I’m not going to because it just costs too much for red. That said on the edit function it didn’t mention any extra charges or line loss.

Exactly this. I mean it’s pretty bold an in your face that any changes to configuration also affects delivery and price.

They all have demo units that can't be sold.

I think most who didn't order in the first half of April or earlier will get our cars in the second half of June, unless that firmware update becomes a bigger problem. There is undoubtedly a push to deliver as many vehicles as possible before the quarter ends.

Should we expect filthy-dirty cars with missing bits and pieces given the push for numbers over quality ?

It’s only missing a part or software update. If anything that could rather take their sweet time.

I may have missed it in this thread but could anyone point me where its a firmware update, not a physical part, thats missing?

Also i went from 7-10 weeks to june 12 and june 30th. Before the the 7-10 weeks, i was at june 6 to june 19. Tragedy

Several SA's have referred to a firmware update. The original story also said the delay was caused by something that can be dealt with at service centers. I have a friend who has a Model Y waiting on the lot of the service center which she can't take delivery of until it gets a software update. So...sounds like it's a firmware issue.

Mine, currently are June 5 - 25. Picking up in Richmond. Ordered 4/9.

Makes sense. I’m in the trucking business and we dispatch the pickups further out first and the closer ones last. just wish they had more facilities so we all got them with less time.

I was in the Grand Rapids SC yesterday and they said VINs would start being released soon but to expect delivery of my LRM3 no earlier than the second week of June. They also said the GR SC has been approved to perform deliveries!

Mine still says 7-10 weeks and we ordered the same car on the same day for the same service center lol
