I don't understand this at all. My M3 LR AWD updated to 39.6 on Tuesday night, and tonight it updated to 3.6.0. (!) What's going on with the revision numbering?
Long range, AWD, performance - would that make a difference? What model do you have ?
Clearly, Tesla doesn't roll out new firmware randomly. It rolls out new versions to more expensive cars (model S X 3 performance).
As we see we have people with p3d got 39.6 and 39.7 even before many get version 9.
And you're basing this on what exactly? FWIW, I have the non-performance AWD and no FSD and got the update yesterday. Some Tesla fans may dislike that Tesla prioritize updates on P3Ds, but they cannot deny the fact. It is crystal clear that the vast majority models getting the V9 updates are the performance versions. Tho ones with full self driving capability will also have higher priority.
Youbja r to initiate the update from the car when going to version 39.# for the first time. Once at 39.# you can initiate future updates from the app.Question... Once you get the notification of the update on your phone, how do you tell the car to update? I thought this was possible, but couldn’t figure it out - ended up just going out to the car and starting it.
Starting the update via app only works if you already have a V9 firmware. So, once you receive your update, you should never have to do it in the car again.Question...
