I have owned a Model 3 for about a year, owned an S for two years before that (traded for the 3), and we recently added a new Model X to the mix (about two weeks old).
Comparing interior quality, the X is substantially nicer, much roomier, and definitely a better family vehicle. I do like the two screens more than 1, though it’s easy to adapt. Also the MX is quieter inside, though not still not silent.
Things from the M3 I miss: Bluetooth phone key & drink holder / console design for both front and rear seats. The M3 is certainly more fun to drive, but my wife and daughter don’t share my joy in gut-punching acceleration from every intersection.
But the MX is, to me, definitely a better vehicle on the whole. And for the investment, it should be.
