Wiki Model S Delivery Update

EDD range is slowly closing… keeping an outer date of march 2nd while moving the lower date up to whatever todays date is each day, currently feb 12 - mar 2nd. Exciting!

Seattle area.

Let's see if I can get this all correct MSLR ultra red, black interior, steering wheel, 19" wheels. Ordered on January 11, VIN assigned February 2nd, window Feb 13-21. But I spoke with my service advisor and said it would be in tomorrow. Indianapolis. No price adjustment for color either. Same as when I ordered it.
So, back on topic...

Has anyone used any of their six senses to See, Smell, Taste, etc. a Cream interior on a '24 MSP yet? I have not and am self-servedly speculating that is why my Order has not progressed since ordering in December/Updating in January...

Who still has SLR deliveries scheduled before the end of Feb that hasn’t been pushed back into March? I have Franklin, TN EDD Feb 16-25. No update to EDD since VIN assignment on Feb 5.
My EDD has been all over the place.

That's my setup except I went MSP and my wife and I love the red and cream. Its the best combo IMO

I have ordered the exact same car but my EDD has only changed 2 or 3 times. It's been fairly stable.
Waiting for a VIN and an EDD update after the EPA docs get cleared up. Planning on going to talk to someone today to see what's up.

Same here. From 2/28 to 3/2. Does anyone know what the standard window of delivery would be? I'll be out of town 2/28 and 2/29.

Side note, saw around 8 Model 3 Highlands on a truck this morning. Wish I saw a truck full of MS's lol.
There's no lack of inventory in the channel, that's for sure. Mostly MSLR, apparently locked up until this EPA range estimate wrestling match concludes.

(My insurance) has always asked me what day I will take ownership and you don’t start paying until that point. In Illinois anyway, they were fine with just proof of a policy granted all states may not be the same.
Got this "earlier pickup available" in the same location but $2500 more because of my UR being $0

Same EXACT car

In other news, discussed previously a few 100 or so pages ago, another Lucid Sapphire article admits "the production Lucid must share the quarter-mile record with the Tesla Model S Plaid (which is quicker to 60 mph by 0.1 second)."

$250k vs under $100k.

Ref: https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2024-lucid-air-sapphire-first-test-review/amp/
That is surprising. That's at least the second source saying the production sapphire is slower than expected. Even Motortrend says the Plaid is quicker:

9.3 sec @ 156.0 mph vs 9.25 sec @ 152.6 mph.

I'm guessing the higher trap speed reflects higher HP, higher peak battery output, since the battery is larger than the Plaid. The Plaid manages faster 0-60 probably from lower weight, similar torque.

The Sapphire did beat the Plaid on handling, though I'd be curious if they retested the Plaid with the track pack and track mode enabled if they would be comparable or even if the Plaid would win. I don't know if track mode was even available back when they wrote their article in June of 2021. The track pack definitely wasn't.

Yep. In the figure-eight test the Sapphire did 22.6 seconds, while the Plaid Model S did it in 23.5 seconds. But, as you said, that Plaid test was almost three years ago, it would be interesting to see how much of that 0.9 second lead the Sapphire has in that test gets shaved off in a re-test with the track pack and current software.

I travel on I5 in oregon a few hours everyday for work, I've seem COUNTLESS trucks full of teslas the last few weeks, none of which had MS on them.
