Wiki Model S Delivery Update

My delivery is today, they chaned the DS on me too. Total BS in my opinion to rush delivery on Modal S & X customers. I am going to take my time weather they like it or not. Today the store manager and tomorrow I will call corporate about the crappy policy.

I will be mad for that 5 min, and 5 min only, then off for a great day with the car

Make sure to inspect the car very well today...my co worker just got his MS a few weeks ago and spent two hours inspecting the car and found several defects. The majority was paint where dust settled and they just painted over it with a layer.

Mine is 274477. I never thought it would change, maybe I shouldn't have checked twice a day and it wouldn't have seemed to take forever.

Vehicle is on the way from factory and I was just assigned a delivery specialist. It’s getting real now!!!

Just had a DS change!
Emailed my now previous DS said she was sorry she didnt know things would move that quickly, explained she has a new role in Tesla they are restructuring the whole DS team to delvier "faster" (hint hint Model 3 deliveries...) I hope the new guy will be as good as my previous DS.

I forgot to mention that my DS changed also. I guess it's getting real.

This concerns me. Each car will be a different case, but I fully intend to cover the check list and inspect the exterior and interior thoroughly while my DS is present. My car is being delivered to the Tesla shop, then enclosed (I would hope) to my home about 12 hours away. I have convinced myself that because of this, they will thoroughly review the car to ensure everything is perfect.
 
Update: Just got a call from Tesla (not my DS) but someone just called to update me on where I was in the process. Relayed that my car had reached Birmingham (I’m taking delivery in ATL) and that my DS would be reaching out soon to give me a window of delivery. It’s crazy how different everyone’s experience has been.

No I've been assigned three different DS in the last week. I dont even have one assigned anymore...I was told they moved into different roles and no longer support delivery experience.

I just got my third assigned in the past week also. Actually, second in 3 days.

Update: Just got a call from Tesla (not my DS) but someone just called to update me on where I was in the process. Relayed that my car had reached Birmingham (I’m taking delivery in ATL) and that my DS would be reaching out soon to give me a window of delivery. It’s crazy how different everyone’s experience has been.

It's true. Shows how young of a company they are.

Some scuff marks inside the front air intake and something that looks like maybe a 1/4 in dust particle under the paint on right rear door.

Did tesla commit to fixing the paint at least or is this something you are going to do yourself...kind of lame for a 100k car if the customer has to fix the minor paint cosmetics.. also not surprised about the potential 2 week + wait time to get it fixed.

Tesla committed to fixing and it is on the due bill. The rear diffuser and right rear side bolster are on order so I would expect it all to be done together. If I do not hear anything in 2 weeks I will then start following up.

Just picked up my MS today! There was some initial cosmetic issues that was taken care with a spot detail. Car was delivered with moderate dust and smudges everywhere. I have a due bill for my steering wheel since there is a stitched tear on the top side of the airbag. Overall spent about 2 hours there. Could of been faster but I was taking my time. Shout out to the DS assigned last minute to my account day of... heard you guys read the forums everyday so this one is for you! But the sales team customer service need a lot of work! The only issue I have is for some reason my charging cable doesn’t work when I plug into a 110v outlet. I tried two different outlets and still no power ...the charge port works since I see the colors but no power...a
any advice on fixing that?

Was this a new car or a CPO ?
 
Ordered 6/28. Apparently my MS is in transit but my DS just changed and I haven’t heard anything from them yet. How long before delivery did you guys get a date from your DS?


Have you spoken to anyone at sales? I'm sure they would be look it up for you. Where are you taking delivery? I did at Springfield and since I had my delivery date set I went 4 days before that date and it was there.
