I ordered an S85 as well with an RN lower than yours. VIN assignment times are a definite mystery.Just an 'S' 85. As much as I'd love a P85, I couldn't justify the huge price increase.

Ask and ye shall receive!!! VIN # 40138, Estimated Delivery: Late May!
I don't really know about the VIN times either. I don't think it really matters. I don't have a VIN (confirmed 3/25). However, they have already quoted me June 5 or 6 for delivery.
Congrats! Your patience is finally being rewardedMy car is now in production!
Exactly 8 weeks from confirmation to production.

The delivery to Calgary though not quite Timbuktu did require a special delivery arrangement and added a few days to the delivery time. If you saw my delivery pics you would see it was basically a big pickup truck pulling a trailer. He had an old Oldsmobile in the trailer too that he was delivering to Edmonton after my car. Wouldn't surprise me if you got the same guy. He apparently has been hauling cars for Tesla from Vancouver to miscellaneous locations for some time.Perhaps. My delivery is scheduled for April 28th, but apparently they're having a bit of trouble finding a courier to bring the car up here to Timbuktu. I may have to go meet it somewhere on the bus (For clarity: My fear, not what Tesla told me).
Hopefully not though.

(if I couldn't get a sweetheart deal on GDH's car :wink
I could have sworn I posted a pile of pictures of the delivery but I can't find them now. I even had a video of the car being unloaded. Anyway, here's a couple of pics that show the truck and how my car was loaded. My only complaint was that the old, oldsmobile was stored above my car (probably because mine was being unloaded first) and there were flakes of rust all over the top of my car. Fortunately my wrap place did a good job of carefully cleaning things off prior to starting the wrap.Nice! At least I won't be hopping a bus.
Do you recall if it was covered transport or an open-air carrier? There are lots of couriers who come up this way that could probably transport a vehicle, but I don't know that I'd trust them to get it here in one piece.

Hi all, here's the current status for comparison:
Ordered - 3/8/14
VIN - 3/12/14 (374xx)
Confirmed - 3/14/14
Delivery - Late April, to Highland Park, IL
Still sourcing, and still hoping late April will hold true!! P85, with about half of the options... (blue, grey, tech, pano, sub-zero, fog, 21")
Well my pickup date has changed. Instead of the 25th of April it is now on the 19th of April. Almost a week earlier.
Yay
ThanksThank you for posting. I am soooo hoping my delivery schedule follows your timing! Nice color choices BTW
