Hey guys!

I just took delivery and I swore I saw I had version 5.11

I was wondering where the option for Hill Assist was, because it showed it in the actual logs but didn't describe where it was. That hill roll back bugs me :p

Also here is my happy dopey face. The car is everything I imagined it to be and more. I am going to be driving this thing into the ground for the next decade! I am only buying Tesla from now on!! (Hopefully when they are cheaper of course)

Congrats!
Not sure if any of this is redundant - already answered elsewhere or you already knew: You can check which version you have by select the Tesla logo at the top center of the touch screen. Hill assist doesn't show up as an option under controls (or anywhere else) as it is not configurable in any way. It has been noted that on mild hills it doesn't always engage, though if you let it roll slightly then brake again, it usually holds after that.

@wamochi and maxwells - It looks like Mother Tesla has gone into premature labor. My OB/GYN (DS) told me not to expect contractions to begin until next week. I hope that mother and child do well, but like all expectant fathers, I have started pacing the floor. When the pencil was available and could name the vehicle, I used Black Beauty because it is all black - interior, exterior, and pano roof. My wife thought that the name was because of the horse, but it was the name of the Green Hornet's car.

The Tesla Factory is building your Model S.

You crack me up!

Got word from my DS that my car will be in Ohio (presumably Columbus) tomorrow! Is anyone else going to have their car there Tuesday or Wednesday? I was told I may be able to take delivery on Wednesday, but my family made plans for the expected Thursday delivery, so unfortunately I won't be taking delivery a day early.

Nice Pilot! I took delivery today, a day early, and man has it been pretty fun. I didn't really turn it loose on the test drive, this thing is a rocket ship! I hope I am not hurting the motor during some break-in period, but its too much fun to just slam the pedal and feel it take off like a roller coaster! I can't imagine what a P85 feels like if an S60 is this much fun!

Congrats golfski, that's great to hear! BTW, I did see someone ask on the main tesla forums about break-in period and people said there is NO break-in necessary at all, so have fun!

Delivery tomorrow, Tesla website question:

My car is waiting or pickup tomorrow at noon. The web profile has changed and has a button labeled "Accept Delivery" I presume I should not press that button until I see the car and inspect it to make sure all is ok. Does anyone know what this button means?

Congrats. Enjoy your new Tesla!!! Those Tesla grins are addictive.

That's the button you press from inside the car when you accept the delivery after the Delivery Orientation Specialist walks you though all the features and operations on the car. The last thing you do before you drive off is log into your MyTesla account and press the accept button. Enjoy the ride and enjoy the experience

Oh no :( did they say why? I toured the factory today and they said if they find issues during QA they make the car go through the full production process again. I'd try to get more details from the production team.

i didn't ask; i was too disappointed. to be honest, i am not confident the DS here really knows the ins and outs of what's happening at the factory. i've been reaching out to him periodically with scheduling questions, etc. but i wonder had i not emailed him this morning if he would have tried to contact me before we showed up tomorrow at 10am. i had a tint job scheduled for saturday which i need to cancel. also my husband is out of town next week so we are going to meet with the DS at some point tomorrow/Saturday to sign the original DMV docs so that i can take delivery myself next week. not ideal. and i had not planned anything else for tomorrow and will have to shift things around next week to take delivery. i schedule my kids' play dates further out than this!!

perhaps it's the quarter-end curse and the DS's out there all have too many cars on their plate and back to back deliveries from now until 6/30 @ 11:59pm LOL

in any case, yes it's strange. it's been in production since June 13 and STILL in production as of right now. he says it's in testing stage but doesn't know when it will be cleared for shipment. so it could be tonight/tomorrow or next week. i suppose he might know more but doesn't want to share or worry the customer, which is fine.

that's interesting they mentioned that QA tidbit during the tour - thanks for sharing! makes me feel a little better about it. i have been telling myself the same thing - perhaps they tested it on June 17-18 and there was a pano roof rattle or other problem. or maybe they realized they didn't install the premium lighting package. who knows. but it does sound like my "in production" days are twice as long as normal, so something is up. i don't know if i want to know. i'll just pray that the car is 100% perfect when it's delivered. maybe wishful thinking, and now i'll probably be very paranoid and go through it with a fine tooth comb :cursing:

and what makes it worse is i got a bunch of stuff i ordered from Tesla on my doorstep today - all weather trunk/frunk mats, parcel shelf, wall organizer thing - but no car to use them on :crying:
