Model X April Deliveries

VINs aren't a secret. You can walk up to any car and see its VIN on the windshield.
But if you do get a quote from Geico, let me know what it is and I'll try to price match them!
Ran a quote to replace one car with the X (yours! :p), kinda expensive to insure.

Woohoo! Yesterday I got an updated screen version of the above with the date range changing to April 26th-May5th. The DS called me today and schedule me for pickup on Thursday. Unbelievable.

On Friday, she had told me she was hopeful and myTesla page looked exactly like above with the March dates.

I will arrive early to do the checklist thing. They said to expect to be there for an hour after the scheduled pickup time.

DS said the fit and finish and reliability has gotten a lot better of the last few weeks. Smoke? We will see.

I might have seen your car when I last visited last Friday at the SC.. I think ;) I took some pictures of the interiors when the DS was kind enough to show me on request but I did not even touch her I promise ;)
Edit: I take that back, that car had silver turbine wheels, not black. Congrats to you!!!

I stand corrected

I took deliver of my 90D last Wednesday (4/20) in Portland (Vin 397X / Original reservation number 811). The team of Alex and Kyle were great! I took the checklist and went over it and only found one minor issue with some glue reside along the wiring cover going out to the rear-view mirror. 10 minutes over in the service center and we were on our way. Overall I was very happy with the level of service by the deliver and service teams. I look forward to taking delivery of my Model3..and our sun shade.

The car itself is amazing and totally worth the wait. I was worried that it may just not live up to my expectations after all these years of waiting. It does. I love driving the car, the view out the front, the doors, and autopilot, and on, and on. Is it perfect - no, but I'm still very happy.

Thanks Tesla!

As promised several weeks ago, had my silver Model X delivered to me today at the San Rafael SC. Sierra, my Delivery Specialist was great, and the inspection went without a hitch. She (Tess2) is tucked in for the night in her new home, after receiving the most recent firmware update. Tried out all the AP features on the 60 minute drive back to Napa and was impressed with how intuitive they operate. Coming from a "vintage" classic Model S (vin 1571) I did notice a new sound from the front motor during acceleration, but I've already stopped hearing it. So far all the doors work great, and the replaced 3rd row seat backs look fine.

Still hoping I can convince wifey to keep Tess 1, but looks like it may go on the block. So if brown is your thing, and RWD works for you, keep an eye out in the next couple of weeks. Haven't priced it yet, but with 67,500 miles it should be reasonable.

Congrats! Thanks for remembering the sunshade :)

Did you always have a EST on MyTesla? I don't have any EST but I was asked to pay 2 weeks ago

I had the March 24-31st date estimate for some time. Just exactly the way @umeshunni posted. They had been asking how I would like to pay by phone, but that's it. I had always said cash but I still haven't made payment yet. I plan to arrive with a check. Funny how I went from worrying about getting the car to now worrying about if the P100D is around the corner. I guess this is not the place to complain about that. Hah. Pics soon, promise.

I've been reading this forum for a while now but I never posted anything because I didn't have anything to say. That is until now! I got a call from my DS today who informed me that my MX P90DL (VIN #31XX) is enroute and scheduled to arrive in Houston on 4/27. If all goes well, could take delivery as early as 4/30. I can't wait!

Congrats!! Please let us know if you get a sunshade? Also, please let us know if the tint is adequate. I wonder how it plays with the Texas sun

Received our X today via a big enclosed delivery van, and not being techies, we were a bit flummoxed by all there is to learn via the touchscreen. We couldn't figure out how to turn off the FM radio for example. We both got to drive the car and both enjoyed the experience and shared a few drives with our neighbors. There were two model 3 reservees in the group. More adventures tomorrow. The cloth seating is just fine, the sound system is good (once I figured out how to get music onto my new iPhone), and the panoramic windows in front and over the FWD's are great. One little piece of molding seems problematic, but we are going to go over the vehicle with the checklist tomorrow. I'm really glad it is here, and am enjoying its aircraft/spacecraft feel.

Congrats! Is the tint of the panoramic windshield adequate? Any word on sunshade? Would love to see photos, I wonder what the cloth seats look like. Are the doors motorized without the premium package? How about the spoiler, is it active? With store did you take delivery? Sorry for all of the questions
