So when I went for the config it said Est. May, and I clicked on Bluewater after I made the reservation and it said Jun 10-30th. Does that mean I've shot myself in the foot, and/or can I change it to Southampton? I'm assuming it won't make a month's diff though...

Before choosing Bluewater in the app, the configurator estimate was mid July. It then became 8th May to 5th June. I think the app date simply reflects the actual changing supply status.
They are already about 10K cars down due to the Shanghai Covid lockdown. Will this slippage affect us or the China or Australia markets I expect our wait time will lengthen.

As to the pick location, with a four week window in the estimate range, we will never know how much quicker Southampton might have been unless we know someone with the same config arriving on the same ship and choosing Southampton. Maybe we do know someone right here.

If I was managing the logistics, I would prioritise getting the Bluewater cars on
the trucks and out of the way soonest to thereby minimise congestion at the port. But what do I know

I doubt that the auto industry has seen the level of enthusiasm and nervous anticipation engendered by the Tesla since the announcement of the Model T Ford which, for so many was their first car. It came with an important accessory - the packing case! This was used for the floor planks....

Bluewater or Southampton? If you can save an appreciable number of your 100 "Grace miles"
then go for that pickup, otherwise, whatever grabs you.

One day a car will be collected at Giga Shanghai and driven back to the UK. However, we are a few SCs short of that pick-nick for now.

Ryan Shaw, YouTube, has made a things to do between order and collection video. Mostly common sense but worth a look. His is one of the best of the plethora of ever proliferating Tesla dedicated channels.

It is all down to Covid as is so much else sadly.

but if I start an order on the website it still says May delivery. Also went for a test drive at the weekend and they said mid May for delivery. So who knows.

Let’s hope they can resume shipping soon.

With the China shutdown I think they genuinely don't know right now and for once I don't really blame them. Until the factory is open again with no serious likely hood of further disruption and shipping is back on track everything is going to be pretty fluid. Until I get a VIN i.e. my car is built and probably on a ship I am going to take any dates as a guess and just roll with it.
It probably helps in my case that I really like my M3 and will be sad to see it go. I am only getting an MY for the extra space so maybe I am less excited about D day than some others.

@Wattsisname I can’t believe it, the mods have deleted my accessories list thread, and moved the post into somebody else’s old thread! I spent ages on that list, I can’t understand why they would do this, I’m absolutely gutted! Really am considering jacking in this forum, what is wrong with some people to treat others like that!?

That is awful! Can you post a link to that thread perhaps. It is a very good list : you the trouble to compile it and Mods please note, you did so at the request of members not as an ad campaign.
