@tccartier It was supposed to be later this week but now I don't know. Yes more communication along the way would have been nicer but good to hear you're on the home stretch.

I forgot to ask...why are there a set of two brake calipers on the rear wheels?
Great news for you, I may try and get over there to see if mine has shown up yet, supposedly just a detail and then the hand off to me..FINALLY got the delivery date cemented! DS emailed me this morning 8/23/17 @ 10:00 am. Exactly 8 weeks to the day. Definitely anxious to see the car as this will be the first time I've ever seen it in person and the way their process is set up I'll have to pay for it in full before I can even drive it, not ideal but I guess it is what it is.
drive home from Dallas to Wichita Falls
Car was fully charged, showed 263 miles. It's only about 120 from Dallas to WF. No problems.Dallas to WF in a single charge? how did you make it ?
Had an interesting call/update on my CPO process
Quick recap (since I hadn't done one earlier)
07/10 : Placed CPO order ($40K; 60 with 42K miles; 19" Black with Tan Interior; Smart Suspension & Tech)
Got the usual emails and such -- Given 6-8 weeks timeline
07/14 : Finished 6/6 tasks on MyTesla and got financing approved. (Actually had it approved the prior week but I made a mistake on a call and had to get it again)
Got CarFax and was surprised that it was registered in Florida (Tesla showed it as being in San Francisco). Email exchanged confirmed the location and the fact that it was in the process of being shipped to California for restoration.
As with some of the people here, communication has been spotty and I was getting worried/anxious every day that passed -- since my financing was good until the 28th.
Last night, due to a post that I read on TMC (I believe), I started looking on Autotrader and saw a couple of cars listed by Tesla (Fremont and another California location). One of them was for $ 38,400, but had no details listed. I decided to take a chance and see what it had (knowing that it was, at the very least, a 60).
After getting an email this morning saying that the car wasn't available anymore, I got a call from Yolanda around 1pm. Not only was the car still available and at Fremont, it would just need to have transportation arranged to Vegas with the team here to do the detailing. After talking to her and talking to the wife (always important), I switched my reservation over... and was able to have the $1K deposit moved as well.
So now, I should be getting a 2013 60 with 60K miles; 21" Grey with Black Interior; Standard Suspension; Panoramic Roof, Tech Package, Sound Studio and Dual Chargers... for $ 1,600 less. Wow...
So I was able to pick it on Wednesday. First of all, I didn't get a swag bag, but that's okay. The car looked amazing, obviously not brand new, but you'd really have to look to tell that. Everyone here at work thought it was brand new! And I've been showing it to people all day the past two days! I only had on thing to add to the Due bill and it was a simple plastic piece in front of the left wheel well.
Although we didn't get a swag bag, my wife got them to give us a couple of key chain wraps for the key fob. I can't find them in the online store so I have no clue what they're going for!
The previous owner had the Drive unit replaced just last year so that's a plus. The CPO process replaced the 12v battery, wheels, and tires. They did remove the 3rd party center console though. I didn't get a straight answer as to why. The initial reason was that all 3rd party products were removed including tint. I then reminded him that the tint was left, then he said that the console probably had damage to it. It also looks like the back seat has some sort of floor console as the velcro is still there, it would have been nice to have those. Actually having driven the car for 3 days, I'm starting to like having the open floor.
As for the driving, I hadn't driven a Tesla before and was concerned about the one pedal driving; it is surprisingly pretty intuitive.
Now, my car is only the S85 not the performance and it is by far the quickest car I've ever been in let a lone drive. I know there are faster models out there but to me, this thing is crazy quick to the point that I think the P100D with Ludicrous mode would actually be kind of scary!
Overall the experience was nice the drive home was cool and I love this car!View attachment 242335

I actually I went through Brent out of Chicago and Jeff out of Cleveland. Overall it too just under 6 weeks. My car came out of San Antonio, and got reconditioned in Houston.Curious if you went through Yolanda for the CPO in Chicago and then Jeff here in Cleveland? How long did the entire process take from reservation to delivery?
I looked for it on Saturday but it appears that it was in the shop getting the final touches.FINALLY got the delivery date cemented! DS emailed me this morning 8/23/17 @ 10:00 am. Beautiful car! I have a similar color coming (I hope!) Is that metallic grey?
Also, side questions to all who took delivery -- specifically the P85+ folks... What tires came with your car?

I was pleased to see a perfect car with my VIN and excited to get my delivery going. The car had brand new tires all the way around and the paint was perfect,, so excited to get it delivered to me this week.
Thanks for the spy report lol!! My car should be fairly easy to spot. there aren't that many Sig. Red cars there "if any" most of the time lol!! @shrink snapped some pics when he was there some weeks ago.
What day is your delivery? By this week you mean sometime between 8/21 & 8/26 ?
Your car wasn't out in the lot and must have been getting the finishing touches done inside. I saw my car with the repair list on the dash including the VIN so I know it was mine. Only thing not highlighted with a marker was an Alignment. Its immaculate and couldn't find a mark on it. The interior as well as the exterior looked like new so I'm ecstatic and glad i swung by for a sneak peek.. They put a fresh set of tires on it as well.
I wasn't given a date but was told a DS would contact me soon to schedule and based on seeing the car it should be very soon as in any day now.
