I have the executive seat package...with little creativity I got the rear facing seat to latch to the 2nd row

No I have a 6 seaters. Total cost is $1700 on eBay

Tried installing the rear facing seats today in my 2019 Model S but the strikers are too short? (Article number 1013629-00-C)

The manual have B for 1st generation and D for 2nd generation but not C.. If i order 1013629-00-D, do you think it will fit? :)

Yes they should fit, the 00-D are longer than this.

Be prepared to wait for them though... took 2-3 months for mine last year

How can I determine if I need the crossmember. Some ppl said that the early models came equipped with it. I have a 2013 without RFS but am looking to install it. Will I need the crossmember???

There’s a good chance on very early cars (maybe first 5000-7000, don’t know exactly). After that, the crossmember was just installed with the seats.

Also, Look at the instructions posted in entry #1 of this thread. That gives some of that information and also lists a very small number of cars that can’t be retrofitted.

Anyone run into an issue where the top latch isn’t making contact to the back of the seat? I took off the adjustment panel, loosened the 4 nuts and it still won’t latch into place.
My strikers are making good contact I just can’t get the top to latch.

I had no trouble. Done it a few times now. Are the second row seats locked into place properly?

might try loosening the hip strikers (or even removing) just to see if you can get it to latch under any circumstances.

Also check the latches reset correctly and aren’t remaining in the locked position. (You can try to cycle it with a screwdriver).
