So I am getting my car delivered the 8th. I had the 3,74% rate but my finance expires on the 4th. So i was 4 days too short.

Why cancel? Why not just switch to LR or something and push out the delivery until you’ve finalized on the house? That way you keep the pricing that you locked in at deposit time. Just waiting for VIN. Trying not to get excited... Once you have a 2 week window how quickly do people typically receive the VIN? Is it consistent?

I would say about a week or so until you get VINd. I believe someone earlier had also mentioned this before in a post. I kept count in my head as I was curious to see if it held some truth. So i went to my local Tesla delivery center and they said that next week you shdk have a vin. Submit the lease app after you get the vin. He showed a status called "soft match" in the system which he told was that its about to be assigned.
Seems like some get them 2 weeks before. Some get them 2 days into their window. Seems like there is no one answer

Reject the VIN and put account on hold for a couple of weeks. You should be able to get away with it. At least try, what do you have to loose vice cancelling yourself.So really really sucks.
