So I heard a new one today. Someone told me they turn two modules off in the software limited battery so the rest of the cells can charge to 100% and rotate the modules that aren't being used every few weeks so they all get equal treatment. Somehow that seems far fetched.

That is be easy to disprove from evidence showing significantly less tapering from supercharging approaching 100%. See picture from bjorn's video - battery taking 28kw at 100% is proof.
