I got there around 4:45pm and there were a bunch of deliveries happening. They started prepping our car just before 5 and took almost 30 mins. We were talking to our delivery advisor and mentioned how the other white cars had mismatched rear bumper colors. She was like they look pretty close to me... We told her we have a model 3 now and mentioned all the defects I was aware of for a lot of Model Y's. Even my wife who doesn't notice things like i do noticed it. The reason it took longer to prep our car was that she told the guys prepping how we were and they took extra time to make sure the car looked ok.. Anyway, I think there were 2/3 white Model Ys that mustve been rejected because of rear door alignment, front window alignment, scratches, scratched and curbed wheels that I could see. Those were 40-something VIN's. Our is 044XX. Once the car came out, I checked it out pretty closely and the gaps look pretty good without any door misalignment that I saw from those rejected cars. The paint looked ok, not perfect with some dust spots. Rear bumper def not matched 100% and we told her we are willing to take it and maybe they can either replace or repaint. The other things were the right side rear seat misaligned. It reclines twice instead of once. It is even with other seat when it reclines once. She said even if they tried, it may not fix it. The rear tail light was misaligned on top and lastly, front left fender edge was sticking out a little bit. We had her document those things and we will try to get those taken care of later on. At the end of the day, they were not the deal breaker and we were happy with the quality. Of course it wasn't perfect but those are something we can live with even if they don't/can't fix them.. Overall, we are glad we got this car.. we are doing a road trip to Maine for 6 days and we are excited to take this one instead of our Model 3! Good luck to everyone who is waiting on their cars!

Glad to hear you were still able to take delivery! My delivery specialist said that my white MY is at Paramus, completed inspection this week, and is currently waiting for a carrier to be assigned for delivery up here in NH. Hoping mine wasn’t among the roughed up ones you spotted...(vin 43xxx)... Trying to stay optimistic but most definitely worried since I have home delivery and not picking up at a SC. Enjoy the new car and thanks for the update!

Cool, at least you are happy. Enjoy your trip to Maine. I have my pick up next week, hopefully it is better. Will post my experience soon.

Hi! My Delivery specialist had told me, way back when I got my vin, that the car was scheduled to arrive to Paramus 9/21, would get a once over, and then be scheduled to travel to me on ME by the weekend. I haven’t heard anything since about timing.
was yours on schedule? Arrive early?

The delivery specialist told me it would arrive at Paramus on the 14th, go through inspection and that I should expect delivery within a week. I reached out on the 17th for an update and was told it went through inspection and that they were still trying to line up a carrier to deliver it. I haven’t heard anything since then.

Interesting they have a NJ SC doing this for a NH and ME delivery vs having one of the two SCs in MA do it.

For all of you picking up your cars in NJ, any recent updates on the EV rebate program? I know there have been several posts on this site about this and that the funding would just come out of FY21 budget if FY20 budget is exhausted, but I'm just curious if anyone has some very recent experience with the rebates.

I am not sure how it is working. I need to submit once I pick up my car tomorrow, when did you picked it up?. Hopefully, the programme is extended to FY21, fingers crossed. 5K is a lot

Thanks for posting, Supposed to pick mine up this Friday 9/25. My Vin is a 49XXX so will see how the quality goes..

Pretty sure I read they are funding $30m. Of course, this is the suggested budget by the Gov, so who knows where it will end up once the legislators get their hands on it.
My belief is that NJ will have to extend the program into FY21 with at least 50% of $30M (if not, full) since it is a 10 yrs program. With so many deliveries of Tesla vehicles and PHEV, the funds may be exhausted very quickly. It's better for NJ folks order and picks up soon to get a slice of the pie from the 2021 budget.

Central NJ, and got my notice yesterday. Little nervous about it since it said we have found a vehicle for you and it is being shipped in from one of our hubs, not your vehicle is being made. It also has a lower VIN number than most people are reporting here. Do not have the MVPA yet, even though I was told it would get emailed to me today to set up me financing and insurance.

Received my Y today!! NH home delivery from Paramus, NJ

Order 8/6
MVPA VIN 8/31 (43xxx)
Delivery 9/23

White ext/ Black int, 19”, tow, no FSD

I was really nervous after reading about all of the issues people have been reporting but happy to report I got a good car overall! Couple of interior dirty smudges, still some tape/plastic on the exterior (came off no problem but you can see it in the picture) in a few spots, the single rear seat is just a little taller than the double, and someone far pickier than me may say the rear doors are slightly low by a few mm (only noticeable if you are really looking for that). Biggest issue from what I can tell is the front hood is slightly misaligned to one side but should be fixable at a SC and again would need to be looking for the misalignment in my opinion. Paint looks good, gaps everywhere else look good and things are flush. Happy camper!

I finally picked up my MY yesterday, yay! I was still optimistic that I would get the 1st ever perfect model Y, but I wasn't that lucky one. There was a paint blemish just under the front hood, the front hood was little offset on one side but it was very negligible (DA said it could be in specs), rear passenger door needs a little alignment. One of the wiper caps was missing, exposing a bold (they fixed it on spot). Other than that, didn't find any issues and left happy.
Today morning, I found the speaker on the driver side is loosely fit. Going back to SC in 2 weeks to get them fixed, hopefully. Got my first update last night as well.
