I've sent a couple tweets their way... one challenging Lauren to enable comments on her video so the public can be properly educated, and another calling for "congressional hearings" for the 17 automobile fires reported every HOUR in the US for GM, Ford, Chrysler, and Toyota, whom she apparently is a huge fan of... loved the graphic about Tesla's government loan (already repaid) without any mention of the ginormous bailout for all the others. What a fool.

Well there you go. There were comments on the video and they were universally negative and pointing out the discrepancies. In the last hour they have been disabled. I suppose Lauren doesn't like hearing the truth.

I saw your comment there before they were disabled. It's not like you were rude or aggressive, just pointing out the facts. As SwedishAdvocate pointed out, there's an obvious agenda there.

I just can't believe someone like that gets on TV. How embarrassing. It'd make me cringe knowing that an international audience might see this (if I was American).

I thought Texas was this pro-business, anti-socialist, tax-free, freedom loving, government get out of your way kind of place. At least that is the impression I get when the media talks about what Texas is all about or how Texas would like to see the rest of the country be like. Since moving to New Mexico I've actually met a lot of folks from Texas and really like them.

I am curious how did I got this impression? Not trying to be a cheeky, just hoping to get some insight. Anyone from Texas have any theories?

Since Texas ranks 50th in high school graduation rates, folks like the Koch Brothers and the TADA are very likely counting on a lack of cognitive development to get someone like Rick Perry elected governor. Mensa isn't knocking on his door!

Old Video but surprising coming from Fox

[ Fox News Now Loves the Volt - YouTube ]
…/ Two things I noticed there, one good one bad. They seem to relish the idea of burning fossil fuels, they want to shove their destructive agenda in everyone's face. Second, even with the massive scientific ignorance, there is more than enough reason to go electric.
Except for the blatant misleading misinformation about Man Made Climate Change, there are two more major misinformation themes perpetuated in this little nugget.

Fox News employee Steve Doocy: …/it’s a great car that has gotten a bad rep all because of President Obama’s record perhaps /…
Yeah right! Pure comedy gold, if it wasn’t so darn tragic. I mean, the Volts “bad rep” has in noo waay been created by good ole Fox News (!)

And it’s interesting that it’s the democratically elected Hugo Cavez in the democracy Venezuela that’s being mentioned 3 times, while Iran on the other hand just gets 1 ‘honerable’ mention. And the rest of the countries US buys oil from are just grouped together as “middle-eastern OPEC countries”. No ‘honorable mentioning’ of Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

Yeah, the democracy Venezuela, and the democratically elected Hugo Chavez is totally the bad guy here. Riight!

Adolph Hitler was elected democratically.

Vladimir Putin has been democratically elected three times in democratic Russia.

.../ Vladimir Putin has been democratically elected three times in democratic Russia.
That is at the very least debatable.

Adolph Hitler was elected democratically. /...
According to Wikipedia Hitler never got more than 43.9% of the popular vote.

And what exactly are the similarities between Adolf Hitler and Hugo Chavez? I see exactly NONE!

I wouldn’t call Russia a democracy. And I do not see Putin as democratically elected. I also don’t see any similarities between Putin and Chavez.

Obama is not a friend of electric cars

State of the union speech not only totally ignores electric cars but promotes NG cars and even proposes building out fueling stations across the nation. A private company with no government funds is well along the way of building out national recharging network and he proposes this new network to be built out for companies flush with cash. It makes the oil industries support look small compared to this new proposal.

How will we look our grandchildren in the eye without having done everything to halt global warming? How will he. More efficient generating electricity at central plant and growing out solar than millions of little NG burning polluters.

Answer to White House petition? We will never see it.

Some take his silence as a means to keep tesla out of political spotlight as helping the company. Nonsense, the silence speaks volumes on its own. I hope republicans run with this and support ev as way to avoid a new program of building out expensive NG fueling stations. NG cars are an incremental improvement to pollution. Ev is a better answer
