PreDelivery Check 2023 MY Long Range

Today my MY arrived and I went to the showroom to take a look before Thursday pickup. No matrix, no USS, old camera housing but it has 84 miles on it. Is that common, as I seen demos with less. Also what do you think about these gap panels? Not sure if that is normal or not.

84 seems really high, even if it's technically under what most dealerships will say is fine as 'new' .. Tesla usually puts 15 as a placeholder and most show up with less.. did someone do an overnight test drive with the car somewhere? Was the car rejected by anyone else?

The mileage is likely from them driving it down to your nearest store for pick up. I would also ask them if there were any recent body work done since I know from personal experience that they drive cars manually to 3rd party body shop for resprays/paint work. Gaps look normal. Might be able to get a new taillight but they will need to measure and see if its "within spec".

Assuming you get the $7500 and they give you an acceptable answer, I would keep it.

I’m getting 10,500 off current price(ordered in March). It has not been through the detailing since the car arrived today.

I agree. While the concerns seem fairly minimal with the savings I would take it and have them adjust what you need

My gaps looked just like what you posted and I took delivery. I also had a service visit a few days later for a couple fitment issues, and nothing looked any different when I picked it up. They did apply the rear door PPF and the front mud flaps for free. At the March price you agreed to, I would take it, absolutely. And there is no guarantee Tesla will activate the Matrix lights that others have received. I happen to believe Tesla will ask for $$ to activate them if the U.S. ever approves the tech. We still don't know if the repeater cameras are actually 5K. Supposedly, those will be for Hardware 4, which none of our cars have.

Mine comes with 6miles when I pick it up, but had worse door alienment issue than yours. I took the delivery because I ordered in March, I don’t want to miss the promotion. The door misalignment problem happens to every car that we saw when we at the pick up store.

its unfortunate since some other deliveries you have seen posted have better build quality and less gaps. I am kind of disappointed with the gaps since I thought it was getting better and the 84 miles on the car is also a downer. I was expected less than 15..However I am getting it $10,500 off the price of the current car.

This is not true. They had to repaint my rear passenger door that they damaged during a mobile service and they towed it to the body shop. When I went back to pick it up I also saw a flat bed taking another car to the shop.

As mentioned, this was my experience. When returned, my car literally had 55 additional miles on it and I saw it being driving down from Giga Fremont to San Jose, address was some body shop. This was through the app. I don't have self driving, so it wasn't me...lol

Also, we all know that Tesla is inconsistent so your mileage may vary and looking like your service experience was much better than mine...minus the fact that your door was damaged during a mobile service ticket.

I don’t understand why 84 miles is a downer. That is nothing in the big picture of a car. Don’t let your mind steal your joy.

10.5k off a Y is a great day. Take delivery and be happy! Congrats!
