I could not find it anywhere where it says heated front seats are standard...

Heated front seats are still listed on the model S specs page.

For me the changes are a net negative. Premium package has always been useless to me, especially once power liftgate was made standard. I have SAS now, and wouldn't miss it for the coils. I have UHFS, but it came on an inventory car, and I would not have paid extra for it - music just isn't important to me personally.

Now to get a heated steering wheel (which I have and really like) I have to pay $5000. Hopefully they continue to make changes to the package structure, but I'm not optimistic at this point, as it appears pretty streamlined, and we all know how much emphasis they are placing on that lately.

I'm sure for some this is overall an upgrade, but not for me. Before I would have ordered a new 75D @ $86,000. Now it's $90k due to forced inclusion of SAS, UHFS and the useless HEPA filter. Premium package still overpriced by $1k in my opinion.

I do really like the new 19" gray wheel option though. Always thought the gray wheels looked better, but didn't want to deal with 21s.

There appears to be one change on the interior, you can now get seats in "cream", which I don't remember seeing before.

Yes, it's very nice compared to the old tan. I think it might be close to the old Sig white which was a cream that matched the "white" headliner I believe. Although it looks like the cream might extend to the carpets, which would be miserable trying to keep cream floor mats clean if that is the case.

Thanks, I see it now. I was looking on the main ordering page.

Just noticed that the backseats have been updated as well. If you look at the back portion there now is a horizontal line in the back seats to mimic the line in the front seats. Furthermore the back seats now look more like individual seats, the seating isn't as flat as before and you actually have some added support on the sides.

Confirming what others have said. I have a 6 week old US order that hasn't started production. I couldn't find anything listing air suspension on my spec but do see a new $1,000 showroom discount.

Just saved 1,000 bucks and didn't even switch to Geico. Cannot wait to see how much more money I am going to save sleeping tonight!

Making these changes to guide customers and simplify production sucks when you're in the midst of ordering or production but someone's gotta be it. One way I minimized that pain was to order right after they made major changes -- but are these changes major ? Some suggest a full interior refresh is coming... you can never pick a right time or a wrong time if you don't already drive an EV especially a Tesla :D

One thing is certain, Model S has once again gone higher upscale. My "basic" Model S with coils (and a hatch I slam proudly with my bare hands) has become a rare item that I was able to get at a very special moment in time (strong CAD$ currency was a big help).

I've now been priced out of the new Model S market. I imagine this positioning is just for now, to separate the models but I just want a simple, big car ready for Canadian winter and as low in cost and time to obtain and operate as possible. I am still so happy that I've mostly got it, 2+ years on, with my 70D and I'm looking forward to what happens year(s) from now with one less worry: until they change the options again, or until my income changes, I don't have to consider upgrading :p

Someone posted on another forum that the extra-cost seats are no longer leather. Looking at the interior section of the design studio, there is no mention of leather, so perhaps it is true -- all the extra cost seats could be the vegan non-leather product used for the white seats.

I have to agree with some folks above that this set of changes is bad news for people who like to pick and choose their options. I did not choose air suspension or the premium audio, but did select the cold weather package. To get that now requires spending $5000, much of it for stuff I would not choose to pay for.

I've thought that Model S prices would have to come down (or at least increase the value offered) once Model 3 becomes available, and I think we are seeing that now.

For $64,000 you can now get into a S75 without enhanced autopilot features or $69,000 with the enhanced autopilot features when including the tax credit. That includes no selected options, but they have gradually included more and more as a base model. The base model now includes things like a 0-60 time of 4.3sec, Smart Air Suspension, power lift gate, three position LED headlights, ambient interior lighting, heated mirrors, and active safety features even without enhanced autopilot features. That's a pretty sweet car at a pretty sweet price. That's a car that competes incredibly well with the BMWs and Mercedes of similar size and quality/features even before discussing the benefits of electric drive.

As of right now, I don't see the point in spending an extra $5000 to shave 0.1 seconds off my 0-60 time and get an extra 10 miles of EPA range (I live in a pretty warm environment where winter weather doesn't hit very often, however). I also am not tempted by the 100D. Sure, I'd love to have the extra range and a 0-60 time of 0.2 seconds less, but it isn't worth $28,000 to me. I will be curious to see if the 100D doesn't get cheaper as time goes on or if the S75 becomes the predominant model that they sell.

3 months ago I was of the opinion that the CPO cars that they had were the best value, but as they have continued to add features and performance to the base Model S, I'm quickly changing my mind.

I was thinking this too. The base model is definitely a better value than it used to be. I spec-ed out the car that's equivalent to my current 85D. Given the general increase in range across the product line (and the actual capacity of the "85" battery), and the fact that a number of options are now in the base model, the configuration I came up with is a 75D that costs about $14K less than what I paid two years ago.

(But absolutely no regrets on my current car!)

Bruce.

The headliner has also changed. Light and dark. Doesn't say if it's Alcantara. I got multi-patterned seats with black cloth headliner. Build date was late April 2017. Alcantara was removed from the dash for the premium package recently. Is that material not holding up for it to be discontinued?

Spoke to a sales rep and they said the SAS has been effective for 1-2 weeks now. The other standard features is only for cars going into production today. They had a conference call last night about the standard features. The also sounded pretty fishy about price decrease. They said "it's something they can't disclose or go into detail about right now." I expect a price decrease around the discontinuation of 75s or even before. I keep on hearing that there is also an update that "might" be coming or those who missed the DU hardware upgrade. I have heard it from sales reps and account specialist.
