Getting back on-topic...

Q. Ground clearance - any issues? I currently drive an XC60 (plenty of clearance) and VW Polo (firm suspension). By habit I straddle speed cushions. Do you take it extra easy?
I've never driven over speed bumps fast..other than the ones that I didn't notice. Had to drive over a few yesterday and it handled them absolutely fine.
Also some people are saying that the ride is quite hard and that the tire noise is too much on the 20 inch tyres but I'm finding it really comfortable and quiet. Yes at motorway speeds there is road noise but no more than any other car I've driven or been in. But saying that I've never driven high end BMW's/Mercs/Audis before so maybe I'm just used to noisy cabins.

I've never driven an EV before so I'll be a bag of nerves. This waiting and uncertainty only makes it worse.

Don’t worry. If you’ve driven an automatic, it’s really just the same. Forget about all the bells and whistles, and just drive it off. I’d recommend being very light on the accelerator until you’re used to the feel, as the instant torque is probably the most surprising (and potentially dangerous :D) thing about EVs.

What is max occupant and cargo weight? - possibly on a yellow sticker inside drivers door reveal along with tyre pressures.

Could you also say what wheel size you have and what the weight and speed rating is, ie something like 96W

I'm particularly interested in max weight for 18" wheels, but also curious about 20" wheels. I know the info from the euro spec M3 at Heathrow which was on 19" - it was only 375kg which is rather low I think - someone mentioned their Audi at >500kg.

According to another website, Tesla supplied tyres have different weight ratings depending on rim size, and I was hoping that the 4 * 40kg extra that 18" tyres apparently have will give scope for 18" version to do >500kg.

How does the interior (seats, roof etc) car feel in the (currently) barmy UK conditions? What interior do you have?

How is AC coping and how easy is it to use? Our 5 minutes at Park Royal earlier in the year was all about the rep raving on about the A/C controls. Wifey wasn't too impressed. She'll just stick it on 23C and that will be all she needs to know...

Very little activity from new owners which is good if you are all enjoying driving your new toy, or bad if you are queueing in A&E with burnt bums...

I've owned convertibles, solid and glass roofed cars with mix of leather and fabric seats and, tbh, you can burn yourself in any of them - just a bit more to get hot if you have leather seats.

Like many 1000’s in the UK I have a Model 3 on order, so I’m getting a charger installed (untethered) at home. The problem is I’m getting conflicting information on the length of the cable supplied. This is important so the unit is positioned appropriately. So can a lucky Model 3 owner help me out please?

Are you collecting your car from Digbeth or Heathrow ?

Collected mine from Birmingham last Friday (28th June). It was a very quick experience and slick in terms of paperwork. We went through the checklist that is doing the rounds on forums and spotted a few issues we logged with the delivery specialist. Overall really happy with the drive and some issues with paint, odd niggle with finish and trim plus glovebox light not working.

The Tesla charging cable is shorter than my old Renault Zoe and I'd say it is around 3m. Make sure it is there as I had to ask for it as it wasn't in the car!

I've attached some of the niggles to hopefully help others spot this stuff too.
