Damn, you don’t mess around. I have a 2008 GX 470. Maybe I need to start a new hobby.
Be careful, it can get costly... go see these guys first... Aluminum Winch Bumpers, Roof Racks, Tire Carriers | Aluminess

Toyota makes great products, you can take them anywhere in the world and anyone can work on them. Just wish they made a diesel for the US market... I am a torque junky and now that I've only driven Telsa's for the last six years, I can't stand driving a gutless car especially when towing.. believe or not the FJ fully loaded towing can still pull hard deep into triplet digit driving with the Supercharger, not bad for a 4 liter engine.

Here is aftermarket company doing a test run in KPH.

Rear Swing away 33" tire carrier, Rear Aluminess bumper, Hi-Lift Jack, Pull Pal Winch Anchor, Rear cargo cage for passenger safety, 33” NITTO’s Trail Grappler M/T’s X 5. nice setup

Back in the 80s I had a '77 Toyota FJ40 that had a V8 conversion and it was a great offroad vehicle, my favorite part was the doors were removable and the windshield would fold down. I do have a Tundra which is not an offroad vehicle by any means but I would really like to see an electrified version of a FJ cruiser. I am very interested in a Bollinger 2 door B1 looks to be very jeep like and with up to 20" of ground clearance

Ummmm, that's one use case, however, there is a group of us called Overlanders and I don't want to go anywhere near anyone who is pulling an RV into a crowded RV park. I've got over 200 nights in my rooftop tent, and I can afford pretty much anything. I like the solitude of camping wherever I want, on the beach, on a river sandbar, deep in the mountains away from everyone. The Rivian is very appealing, just need to make it capable of carrying 3000 lbs and towing more than 7500 lbs or more and I will get one.

You just made my point. A very niche product. Nothing against overlanders, but there’s very few of you compared to the general populace!

Amazon is ordering 100,000 Rivian electric delivery vans
Amazon will order 100,000 electric delivery vans from EV startup Rivian, Jeff Bezos says

Indeed. Been in business 10 years and has yet to release a product.....

Rivian originally set out to build an ultra lightweight sports using advanced materials with a tiny highly efficient ICE.

They saw what Tesla was doing and the future of the automobile industry and correctly pivoted to electric trucks about 5-6 years ago.

Any new info at the event yesterday?

I hope to see the Rivian gear at the Fully Charged Live show in February.

Nothing really new to speak of. They had the blue truck, gray truck and the green SUV on display. They really look sharp in person. I never was really a fan of the oval headlight design but in person it works well. Interior looks really nice and premium as well.

The parking deck next to the event has a supercharger. I had never seen so many teslas in one place. You couldn’t throw a rock without hitting one.
