I just asked Tesla chat to see if they can change my delivery advisor/other advisor, and unfortunately they can'tI finally got a call back from mine the other day and was basically told they're not paying attention to their inbox at the moment because of the amount messages they recieve and any updates with my car will be posted on the website.
Wait what? How much you pay in delivery? I could have saved money?Delivery scheduled for Saturday at Lynnwood, then my dad’s taking it to the cargo shipping company on Tuesday (I will go incredible lengths to save $700 in delivery costs). Alaska will have another Tesla soon.
I am not 100% on this but I think it really depends on how many cars are coming in at a time if they need to get rid of the inventory fast because more cars are coming in. I know in the past they have given you the 3 day time frame and then if you couldn't you would get pushed to the back and have to wait. but I am not 100% on this. Can anyone tell us what happens when the car is finally ready to be picked up? I have some possible trips coming up in June... there'll be plenty of days in between, but I'm afraid of Tesla telling me that I have a 2 or 3 day window that happens to coincide with one of my trips out of town. Do they give you a hard and fast interval, and do you then forfeit your place in line if you can't pick it up then? Or do you get a few more days to pick the car up when it's convenient?
Three days, get your car, or get to the back of the line.I am not 100% on this but I think it really depends on how many cars are coming in at a time if they need to get rid of the inventory fast because more cars are coming in. That is what I am afraid of (and it is also stated on the order agreement..but obviously in other words). I am afraid they will call me on Monday and I have to pick up during the week. I want to pick up on a Saturday if at all possible.Three days, get your car, or get to the back of the line.
This is probably a situation very specific to me: Alaskans still pay the $1200 destination fee, but have to pay an additional $2500 for Tesla to ship the car up here. I live in Juneau, and barge shipping through a private company from Seattle costs around $1750. I also have parents in Washington and a ton of airline miles. So, I'm flying down, picking up the car, joyriding around Seattle with my dad for a couple days, then dropping it off at a cargo shipping company before flying back up here. It's a lot of footwork to save a few hundred bucks, but it's a three day weekend and I owe my parents a visit anyway.Wait what? How much you pay in delivery? I could have saved money?
You should call your SA ASAPUpdate now saying May 27-30th. Is this some sort of glitch? Is tell playing games with my heart? Was June 17th-30th before.
Not sure how much weight to put on this since I didn't take advantage of it, but the local delivery specialist told me that I could just pick a random date, then call later to explain when I could realistically pick up and they'd work with me on it. Sounds like they might have pressure from Tesla central to offload cars quick, but they might cut you a break semi-secretly if you need it?That is what I am afraid of (and it is also stated on the order agreement..but obviously in other words). Going to be a kid waking up tomorrow like Christmas morning3/26. Talked to SA and picking up car TOMORROW! Super pumped
Ohhhhh okay….. makes sense we’ll have fun and tell your parents your Tesla peeps say hi!This is probably a situation very specific to me: Alaskans still pay the $1200 destination fee, but have to pay an additional $2500 for Tesla to ship the car up here. Maybe someone cancelled their order, or cannot pick it up for some reason and have been moved to the end of the line. You should call your SA ASAP
Congrats! Waiting for mine in the same location.Scheduled to take delivery tomorrow at 2:30pm CDT. Maplewood, MN.
Update:I just asked Tesla chat to see if they can change my delivery advisor/other advisor, and unfortunately they can't
Side note: Tesla chat said that my original advisor (not sure if he is the SA or not..just the person who reached out to me first after placing my order) would call me back after he gets done with his task. I think I have better chances of hell freezing over lol.
What's crazy is I have not had this experience for the Kansas city location . My SA sometimes takes a day or two to respond but they do eventually and have answered all my questionsMy SA doesnt answer their phone, emails, or return voicemails.
Same thing with my delivery advisor.
I am guessing my SA is the one who reached out to me when I placed the order.... but regardless, they are both useless.
My delivery advisor also takes forever to respond to text messages. They still haven't responded to the one I sent on 5/14.
