Parking in Fred Meyers is bad. The layout of the lot is hard to navigate, and it's pretty much always crowded. I sometimes park in a nearby lot, often Safeway, and walk to Fred's. Even the Safeway is probably going to be ICE'ed. I was expecting the parking lot behind the pawn shop on SW Hurbert St.
If they can get past legislative opposition.They're about to be the same company
But I guess they can play the not-Walmart card.
Oh, splitter on US-101.
They've said that becoming a monopoly will reduce prices for customers
My guess is if they do then this Safeway will close. It's feels like its 10 years past due a remodel. Just got my flu shot in their and its really old.They're about to be the same company

I am glad to see this coming. There are spaces in the Safeway lot that run next to 101 that are never used. The gap from Coos Bay to Newport will be a lot better than Bandon to Lincoln City. Hope they still consider Florence.
That is confusing. It still lists the project as EV Charging Stalls - Safeway Newport. They share a parking lot with Ace. I guess we just don’t know where in that parking lot the chargers will go. Looking forward to finding out.
Tesla's "Find Us" update today has moved this location up a quarter in terms of Target Opening, to Q2 2023.

Went by today and still no activity yet. Didn't see any markings in the parking lot.

There won’t be markings until a dig ticket is filed. You can check here. Either use the address or work done for Tesla to check.
I wonder if this site will not get any love until the Salem service center is open. Maybe same company doing the work.
