The last plugshare report said it was roped off. Has anyone seen it up close? Vandalism?Does anyone know why this station is closed and for how long? Superchargers along I-26 are not plentiful!
That would be very cool to have solar powered superchargers here in SC...usually only see that stuff out west.I found a photo on Facebook. Apparently there is construction and some sort of solar going in. I'm guessing a solar canopy? The post said it would be ready by Thanksgiving. I certainly hope so, as this route is busy and there aren't a lot of alternatives.
That's exciting. I hope they are finished before Thanksgiving but it doesn't look like they will be. I would love to use that unit on my way from Atlanta to Charleston. It isn't essential but it is convenient.Very cool!
Considering how quickly they got that frame up and the first few panels on, I think they have a chance. I doubt it has to be turned on for them to turn the superchargers back on.That's exciting. I should be stopping there on Tuesday if it is on line and I'll try to take some snaps.Back online in nav
Let us know. I need to hit this stop Thursday to avoid hitting the old stop in Columbia.I should be stopping there on Tuesday if it is on line and I'll try to take some snaps.
Wilco. I would trust the in car map with the units most as a unit can go down near trip time. I plan to stop there but have enough to reach the Charleston SC just in case. Pics won't be before tonight.Let us know. I need to hit this stop Thursday to avoid hitting the old stop in Columbia.
Given the state of construction, I don't think they will have to shut it down again to get the solar stuff going (except maybe momentarily). The shade sure will be welcome in summer. They likely opened it for Thanksgiving traffic and will finish it next week.
