Supercharger - Conshohocken, PA

looking forward to this supercharger coming online. i have no clue where they are going to put it, but in the Plymouth meeting mall near the whole foods makes a lot of sense to me, it's right off the turnpike. recently drove through the parking lot to look for signs of construction, unfortunately, saw nothing.

That pin is a town name pin, for a planned site, put there as an intent. Superchange.info requires a permit be field to list permit, and construction to start for the construction status. Many pins start on telsa's site, and never come to fruition, due to permitting issues, site acquisition issues, etc. And the town name is just a placeholder, until an agreement is made to host the site. It could be anywhere near Plymouth Meeting, and probably they would like it within 1-2 miles of the turnpike exit.
The best example of this entire process going wrong I can remember is the Allentown supercharger. It started at the mall, but Penny's would not give an easement to bury the high voltage cable, so the entire site had to be scrapped. It took an additional 1-2 years for the new site to be planned and turn operational.

Macy's is now gutted for new Dicks, Michael's Burlington, and gym. Wish there was a sign for PM coming soon, though the mall lot is pretty crowded with the addition of restaurants in the lot. Metroplex maybe would make more sense (though little to no eating options)

In my day, Philadelphia was a supercharger desert. Round trips from Harrisburg required a detour to Delaware.
This will be the fifth (?) supercharger just in Montco.
How far things have come!

I guess close enough. Now we just need one on the other side of 476 near Springfield exit. IKEA is a very good location though.
