Supercharger - Suquamish, WA (LIVE 13 Dec 2023, 12 V3 stalls)

I live just a few miles from here so I am looking forward to watching and updating the progress on this charger when it breaks ground. This location was kinda my last choice for a first charger in Kitsap county. A lot more people would take advantage of a charger if it were along HWY 16. Even Tesla service members were complaining about the lack of superchargers along the HWY 16 corridor.

This location got panned as I expected when I posted it in the local facebook group. But it does serve Seattle area people heading to the Olympic Peninsula (and vice versa of course). The lack of superchargers in the Bremerton/Silverdale area is kind of a separate issue.

Stopped by here on Saturday. They have the spaces roped off. They should break ground this week.

Stopped by last night to take a look. Lots of dirt work being done but I believe the electric inspection may be a bit premature.
It was just for the buried flex conduits. You can see them sticking out through the bases. Once they get approved they can bury them and let the electricians do their work. I believe blackstone just does the site dirt work then moves on once electrical begins.

Stopped by tonight and they have 1 row of stalls standing. Weird setup. It’ll be 4 stalls, then about a 50 foot gap, and then an additional 8 stalls. I like to think the 4 stalls with the pile of dirt will be reserved for Cybertruck and a few adventurous Model Y owners.

Was by there tonight and was quite surprised. Pedestals are up, although there are still piles of dirt too.

I always thought that the Target in Silverdale should be the next location on the Peninsula. Nicely in between Port Angeles and Tacoma Suoerchargers. Tesla has an existing arrangement with Target. Plus, it’s right off the freeway, unlike this location at the Casino. But hey, I’ll take it nonetheless!

I imagine what their data shows is that Tacoma and Olympia Tesla owners already have home chargers and are leaving with 100% or can arrive with 10%. This'll be more for Ferry traffic from Seattle apartment dwellers. (It is a shame they can't install one on the ferry :D)
I've often thought about the idea of the ferries tossing up a solar canopy and charging the EV's in transit but it makes for a positioning nightmare on the ferry. The idea is amazing in theory. I would ride the ferry quite a bit more!

Love the idea of having one in Silverdale/Bremerton for this exact reason. I spoke with a Tesla Service person who said this area is VERY challenging for him when he has more than 5 appointments in his 2014 MS 85. If they threw one up as redundancy it would make passage through this area much easier.

That being said, I don't know that Target would be the best location. It's a pretty cramped lot every time I visit.

True on the crowding, @ImScotty. My idea was more because of the pre-existing arrangement they have with Target and the proximity to the freeway. But frankly, any location between Silverdale and Poulsbo would be good so long as it's closer to Highway 3.
