More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

It is entirely possible that I might get a highly coveted "first" at some location, but the odds are that I would be ignorant to this fact because I am not aware that a particular location just opened up earlier in the day or week.
Not likely. Most firsts are before the supercharger shows up in the nav system, so if you are not on the internet you would not even know the charger was open.
I'm sorry if this is contrary to the spirit of our competition.
Not at all! Enjoy the ride, and post when you log on to your computer.

When I get a "first", I post a picture from my iPhone 5. Other than that I post from a computer.

This may be a minority view:

I am not a tech person. When I travel, I detach from the cyber world as much as I can. I do not send or check my email during my absences. In fact, I don't even know how to do it even if I wanted to. I just want to drive, relax, enjoy my company, the scenery, any planned activities, and the challenge of getting to and from my ultimate destination.

I don't check this site much during my sojourns, as my only internet access is on my cell phone with its tiny screen and tinier keyboard. I might log on if I get extremely bored before retiring, but other than that I wait until I have returned home to post my latest visits. It is entirely possible that I might get a highly coveted "first" at some location, but the odds are that I would be ignorant to this fact because I am not aware that a particular location just opened up earlier in the day or week.

I plan my trips to avail myself of my unvisited Superchargers whenever possible. I have a route that lists the Superchargers that I will be visiting, both old and new. If a brand-spanking new Supercharger opens while I am gone, I won't know when it opened, and I won't know that a competitor is racing across country to bag it first.

I'm sorry if this is contrary to the spirit of our competition.
Far be it that this social enterprise should harsh your mellow. You do you. I don’t really care much about firsts, anyway :)

Randy does deserve a demerit, however;)

Personally, I like to see what people are up to and enjoy it when others are engaged in the game. Running around in stealth mode and quietly updating the spreadsheet just doesn’t seem to be in the spirit of the competition. This is a community effort, after all, not just a personal travel record.
Speaking as one who entered this game after already having visited well over 100 superchargers, I must admit that I didn't see the point of adding my visits here. I have since come around & now agree with the rules. You are welcome to visit superchargers without reporting on this thread, but if you want to compete, follow the rules.

Also, I'd like to formally submit my apology for not following by the rules in the past. I promise I will do so from now on.

That was what alerted me that Thinkje had already bagged Maple Shade, NJ, so I didn't need to make a special trip there after all.

Wait - I missed @Thinkje visiting Maple Shade before me? I've been checking this thread every day and literally ran out the door when I heard it was opened just to get a first.

I agree firsts are an important metric to some of us - namely those who can't nearly compete on total numbers.

Let me clarify my position a little. I don’t expect people to be glued to this thread, but if you update the spreadsheet, update the thread at the same time. Timely updates make the game a little more social and fun for everyone.

And finally, thank you all for making Tesla traveling so much fun. I’ve met a bunch of you on the road and look forward to meeting many more in the future.

Is it actually listed as Mission, OR in the Nav now? That one has always been referred to as Pendleton, but now that I look, it is actually within the Google Maps outline of "Mission." I had never heard of Mission before seeing your post lol.

Strangely, the address for Wildhorse Casino (which hosts the supercharger) is Pendleton, OR even though it's within the Mission boundaries. I vote we keep calling it Pendleton unless Tesla changes the name in the Nav.

Especially if you prefer that others get the "First" badge.
How do "first" badges work? Are they for the first competitor that posts a new SC, or are they computed from the date in the column, no matter when it was actually posted into the spreadsheet? Is the "First Visits" value manually or automatically updated?

All of this is leading up to: I'm the only one in the "Idaho Springs" row. Where's my gold star?

Heading out for an Sacramento charger run, Glympse on

Glympse is fun. What is your handle?

@BM3B, that's another way to "announce your intention" without having to post to the group what a route or trip is going to be (in case someone wants to hit a new one near Sacramento before Midnight in case you aren't hitting it until the next day). I'll go ahead and announce now that I'm planning to head to nearby Grove City (the PA one) for the game's 1st visit but will also have Glympse on in case someone feels like checking that.

@David99, looks like this confirms it.

New visits:

Miami (SW 8th Street), FL - 2/15/2020
Miami (SW 7th Street), FL - 2/16/2020
Deerfield Beach, FL - 2/25/2020 (This location just went live today, please update the "Open Date" on the spreadsheet)

I will add these visits to the spreadsheet now.

@gnxs, I see that supercharge.info has an Open date of 02/25/2020 for Deerfield Beach but since you were the 1st person here do you happen to have a pic of the green charging ring or the screen or app indicating it is actively charging?

Edit: I updated the spreadsheet to indicate Deerfield Beach as "Open" and you are listed as having the only visit there so far so unless anyone else visited today then you're the only one with a 1st -- congrats and thanks for the heads-up.

I had it listed earlier (in my trip plan) as Pendleton but IIRC, I updated it to match the name shown in the Nav. I did that with another location too, but I’m forgetting which one it was.
