More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

Finally went to a new supercharger for me:
Silverthorne - Ruby Ranch Rd, CO
I have updated the spreadsheet.
Next month is a road trip to California.
I have also been waiting for Canada to open; we have a New England road trip on pause since the pandemic.
And also have a new Model X on order; just a lot of waiting.
Charging at the new Siverthorne supercharger we were able to get 110kW. We have not be able to get more than 93kW for the last few years. I hope this continues.
We had a good lunch at the Mercado La Perla mexican store and restaurant about a block away.

Delayed update (already on the spreadsheet): I added Rehoboth Beach DE on July 3 en route to Ocean City MD with friends. Hoping to get one or more of Easton, Annapolis, and Hanover MD on the way home via BWI.

College visits start soon, and I'll be driving two kids around, so I might hit 100 superchargers in the next few months.
Made it to Easton and Hanover MD (I'll update the spreadsheet momentarily). Traffic from Ocean City was kinda miserable as one might expect on a Saturday morning / early afternoon. And wow, the Arundel Mills area by the Hanover supercharger is WAY more built up than it was the last time I was there.

Heading to Michigan to spend time with my newly 75 year old dad. Our route getting started is quite oddly shaped for anyone not familiar with our game. 😀

Today’s little adventure:

909. Philadelphia, PA - Penrose Ave
910. King of Prussia, PA - South Henderson Rd
911. Jim Thorpe, PA - Northbound
912. Jim Thorpe, PA - Southbound
913. Flemington, NJ
914. Trenton, NJ - Richard Stockton
915. Cherry Hill, NJ - Haddonfield Rd
916. Cherry Hill, NJ - Walt Whitman

Again I lament that the names in the spreadsheet don’t match the names in the car’s navigation. The names above are correct. IMO the navigation should be the master list of names, since that’s what you actually use on the road. This continues to get more confusing as the network expands.

162. San Jose, CA (925 Blossom Hill Rd. a.k.a. Westfield Oakridge)

Now tied in 57th place with @tamman34. There's something odd about @tamman34's data. They have all of their charging records in the GooSheet dated for 15 March 2016 (is this the date of the migration from the original Wiki post?). But on the Leaderboard tab in the GooSheet they have a badge for being the first to 100 charges in October 2014. This seems weird.

(It doesn't matter much to me, but I thought it was cool to be tied with someone who looked like the first in the Century Club, until I dug into the data some more and noticed these oddities.)

When I met Tam in October 2014 (Wilford CT north SC), five days after I picked up my Model S, he was the one who told me about this little competition. I looked it up when I got back to Colorado, and sure enough, there was Tam, solidly out of reach at (as I remember) just over 100 SCs. I wondered how anyone had any chance of catching up with him.

Oh that’s cool! Somehow I had it in my head that the badge was wrong.

First real road trip in 2 years. 16 new and 12 of them was a “first”. Good ratio 😊

This is a real problem, but as with a lot of things in life, "it's complicated". I think that supercharge.info (and some parts of the TMC forums) try to match the official Tesla names for locations, but this is made harder by the fact that there are usually mentions in supercharge.info and TMC before Tesla announces a final name for a site (usually that happens after the site goes live). Sometimes Tesla changes the official names of sites. Sometimes the names are confusing, ambiguous, or flat out wrong. (Yeah I know you probably know this already.)

If you see a TMC Supercharger thread title that's wrong, feel free to report any post in the thread, and one of the TMC mods (probably but not always me) will go fix it. It helps if you can give the correct name for the Supercharger site so I don't have to go look it up. For supercharge.info corrections, I know they have their own discussion forums, but I bet you could just tag one of the supercharge.info editors here, and they'll DTRT (@corywright and @MarcoRP will hopefully correct me if there's a better way). I presume the spreadsheet will automagically pick up the changes from supercharge.info.

To waste a little time this afternoon, I created a new dashboard on Tableau to easily see the growth in superchargers. The tab is called "SC trends dashboard" and you can access it directly with this link. I decided to filter it only to the USA and Canada since that is the "world" most of us inhabit for this game (at least right now). This is what it looks like.

March 2016 is the oldest data that was available in the wiki when we converted to the spreadsheet. If there were dates in the wiki entry, we used them otherwise we used that date. Active participants provided actual/better dates - and we can update incorrect dates at any time.
The information in the "Leader" column and "Century Milestone" columns came from the wiki when we moved to the spreadsheet.

Where do the 228 and 2489 "Null" numbers come from?

Where do the 228 and 2489 "Null" numbers come from?
I get slightly different counts from the spreadsheet. The difference may be the way "closed" superchargers are counted - my count only includes superchargers that are still open, so if a supercharger was opened in 2014 and closed in 2020, it would not show in the 2014 count even though it was open as of 12/31/2014, and it would also not show in the cumulative totals for 2014 through 2019 even though it was open then.

Supercharge.info shows 1094 US and 114 Canada open now for a total of 1208. I think our count is higher because they count some pairs as just one (Darien, Milford, Hookset) and we count them as two.

Edit: here is another chart with an added column - showing ALL the opens each year in US and Canada, the closes in each year (all are US - none in Canada have closed), and the cumulative number of open superchargers at the end of each year. Now the "opened" in each year matches Tableau.
