Exactly my situation, and my car specs. Sigh.

I have a hundred grand sitting in my bank account, a car depreciating before I trade it, I have to take annual leave to get to Sydney to pick it up if it goes past August, I have to book a sparky to install the wall charger. Cmon Tesla, it's starting to tarnish the buying experience.

But still I wait...
I hope that 100k is sitting in a high interest (HI) savings account!

BOQ currently have one that earns 3% if you deposit 4k a month minimum into the attached account and then transfer it to the HI account.

Yes, it just wasn't clear how you were to use the referral code. It's intuitive to config the car then apply the code.
Once i realised I'd screwed it up, i just didn't want to cancel and reconfig for fear of losing my place in the queue (Ha!) and having to wait a month for $3k refund.
1500kms supercharging is only worth $100 anyway.

Technically, since I used my own referrer code (Powerwall 2 owner) I get 3000km free supercharging :)

I agree on the referral code thing. The process to use both my reservation (which I originally also missed) and a referral code was so arcane that I had to do it on a full-sized web browser rather than my phone. I had to actually good the method and talk to a person at Tesla just to figure it out.

I love Tesla and what they are trying to do, but I think that they are deluding themselves if they think that they can keep working this way. They are supposed to be a tech company, and their website behaviour and UX (user experience) are often laughably bad.

Yeah..

And now it looks like I'll be out of action for a week at least in Sept due to an operation.. :/

Looks like the content is there in elements but json payload is truncated and not properly searchable?

Shouldn't be. The 'Elements' tab will truncate long strings for display purposes, but if the JSON payload itself is truncated then you'd get an error reported in the 'Console' tab (truncated JSON won't parse). You can tell if it's being truncated for display purposes because it'll end in '...'.

To get the raw source, right-click the page and select 'View page source' or drop 'view-source:' in front of the page URL in Chrome's address bar (so that it reads 'view-source:https...') and press 'Enter'.

You're further than I am, lol.

I'm sitting at 'Credit Application Pending' and as much as they stress to me that my account is in an 'Approved' state on both Macquarie and Tesla's side, I have this niggling feeling of doubt, because these day's it's just so easy for people to tell you one thing in the hope they never meet or hear from you again.

This is weird because mine was changed to approved like the second day after the checkout process opened and it went to the next steps page... I don't know why yours wouldn't have progressed.

Haha, not helping my anxiety levels mate.

Are you full financing or putting a deposit down?
I'm putting a deposit down as well.

Sorry I didn't mean to make you more anxious! I think it will be fine. Yeah I have a deposit as well. It must be something in Tesla's back end. Macquarie emailed me on Sunday saying they were requesting the invoice from Tesla. I think that is the final step from their end to complete.

Yer I haven't received that yet either. I've waited this long, I can wait a bit longer I guess.

Nissan Leaf can do V2G. Elon was asked about this couple of years ago and apparently he said they have a different product for this called Powerwall so Tesla was not looking into adding this functionality to their cars. Though it would be awesome, it would most likely cannibalize Powerwall sales too much for Tesla to put much effort into doing this.

There are many reasons for and against cars for V2H/V2G, the main one is similar to the argument against solar on cars. A power wall works if you are home or not and is specifically designed for the job.

I haven't seen anything on pricing but a quick search shows prices in the 1000s for the inverter but power wall 2 comes with the inverter plus a battery.

I will be very interested to see V2H but at this stage it is just a marketing promise like FSD and should be treated with the usual 'caveat emptor'.

I would really like to see Tesla offer PW3 with a bidirectional car charger option but even this may not work if it needs to be DC/direct from the powerwall to the car as many houses could cost a lot in cabling.

A comment from JB

Just got my second call within 24hrs from Tesla confirming details. Was told final invoice will be in my account today or latest tomorrow and delivery specialist will contact me shortly after that. This wasn't delivery specialist but was told deliveries in Perth are scheduled from 10th Sept onwards. I read elsewhere in this thread that the delivery specialist for Perth is on holiday (or out of country) until 10th Sept so that sounds as if thats the hardline earliest date for Perth deliveries. That makes it 3 weeks and 1 day to wait.

It's quite interesting how Perth and Adelaide (I think) are the first to get their calls scheduling delivery. Maybe it's because of the additional layer of logistics that are required to coordinate trucks out from Sydney which requires the extra planning.

As a Sydneysider... I'm hoping to get a call or final invoice, and be able to book delivery in the next week or two. :( :( :(

I’m a 3/7/17 res, 6/6/19 order P3+ order.
Just spoke with Tesla and they are very conservative on delivery dates for us mid/early orders.

Their words “you should get your vehicle this year”!

Just to give anyone else in a similar boat out to me an estimate as it seems most on here are day one’rs

Sparky has been and installed 15A power point in the garage for me. All I need now is a car.
