Right now a 200kwh pack would be over 2,500lbs. They have to be counting on a density improvement for the new Roadster.

I ordered 1 of each. I can back the Roadster out of the Semi and do doughnuts in the truck stop parking lot, while waiting for my megacharge.

Why do doughnuts? You'll have half an hour of driving. That'll be over 60 miles each way.

Yeah the normal 7% per year average with 1.5+ years, it'll be denser. But it's also giving up a lot of interior space compared to the model 3.

I'm saying it isn't OMG where will it fit, and it isn't OMG it takes half the space.

It'll be denser but it'll also be heavy.

3 motors in a roadster vs the 1 motor in the old roadster. It's going to need space for motors, cooling, additional pack space and so on.

Just think for the X and S battery backs being 160-180-220 etc upgradable for us in say 2020. I’d love to see a 500 range on my S. Make day trips across midwest crazy easy. Just have to supercharge for 90 minutes at destination
