Recent history is even better!

Since Nov 1, Tesla has installed 60 Superchargers world-wide for an average of about 1 every 17 hours and 1.4 per day!!!

20% of all active Superchargers were installed in the last 44 days...

Perry to Ardmore is only 158 miles. Though if I had my druthers about which opened first, it would be Ardmore.

It would wind up being the largest gap, though. 130 miles seems like the max distance between SCs that Tesla is willing to do.

There is an outlet mall on the west side that lists CBL Associates as one of the developers. At one point, they had an agreement with Tesla to host SuperChargers, but it doesn't seem to have borne much fruit.

Why do you think that? That's not a usual location for superchargers on long distance routes. Service centers are typically in commercial/light industrial areas, not a place where it's convenient to have a meal or shop while charging.

For some pretty amazing stats, consider that at the beginning of 2014 there were 64 Superchargers, 50 in North America and 14 in Europe. 236 of the 300 have been built in 2014 or 79% of those 300 built this year. More impressive is that 63 or 21% of the 300 have opened since Nov 1, 1.5 months!

Since Nov 1 a Supercharger has opened every 17.5 hours or 1.37 Supercharger openings per day!!! At that rate, we will get 500 more Superchargers in 2015!!!!!

You really don't expect that rate to continue, do you. In 2014, a large number of SC's came on-line in the early part of the year, and then it slowed down dramatically until the last month or two. That may happen again. We shall see.

In any event, the actual number of SC's on-line in the U.S (approximately 140), is far short of what their end of 2014 map shows they would have (approximately 200 in the U.S. at the end of 2014). I understand Tesla is in the process of redoing the map. Lets hope that the revised map will be more realistic. It is better to under promise and then over deliver, than to over promise and then under deliver (which is what Tesla has done on numerous occasions, and not just with the SC rollout).

The total number worldwide is of no practical consequence to anyone, either owners or prospective owners. We don't travel between continents by car. What matters to people in North America is the number in North America, likewise what matters to people in Europe is the number in Europe, etc.
