Model X (father) + Model 3 (mother) = Model Y (kid)It looks like the model X got it on with the model 3 and poof out come the model Y.
300 miles is more than enough range. 200 miles range is more than enough for the average person.Agree. I mean, it will probably sell fine, but the models are now all looking rather similar, due to the aerodynamics. Need better battery tech to allow both greater range and to ease up a bit on the gumdrop shape to allow for more diverse body styling.
This is virtually how every car manufacture builds their product. Take a look at the bmw 3, 4, 5, and 7 series. They look similar, and their suv/crossovers also look similar. Same with recedes, Audi..
Believe me, they are not going to publish the # of reservations for the MY like they did for M3.
Dont think the demand will be that great. There was not much to talk about MY so they had to fill the presentation with rehash of history and only 5 min. of MY.
Why do Tesla SUVs have to look like an egg or an oval? Why couldn't they do something like the Nissan Murano or the Lexus RX350? Those are 2 very nice looking SUVs. This thing is horrendous.
Humans?Neither of those are good looking cars.
All Crossovers look like they ate something they're allergic to
I also stand by my pre-reveal conjecture: those 6th & 7th seats are extremely unlikely to be appropriate for most NoAm adults. I'd say likely to be okay for junior high school age and below. To the extent that's correct, is it an appropriate CapEx investment to offer this option? Honest question; I've no good sense how that would pencil out.
I think they need to refine the front before production. Make edges flatter and sharper for a more aggressive look.... kinda disappointed in how similar it looks to 3 in the front. It works on the 3 but not the Y imho
Back is good.
Increasingly convinced this car’s best side is the rear — I’m digging it from this angle. Like the 3, I bet it looks better in person.
