UK accessories for RHD Model 3 [megathread]

Been meaning to post this for about a week

I thought a flocked one would be a little nicer and fit in better and it was a good price.

I'm happy with it, so thought i'd share.

Yes, I got a flocked one like that last year on Amazon ... but I see the Amazon one is now hugely expensive for some reason so Ebay looks a better option. They do match the car finish nicely.

If something goes down there I assume it will rattle forever more, its the heating duct right?

Interestingly the grill is describes as "Air extractor". There's air comes out of the centre console at the rear so I can only surmise that there's some recirculating going on.

So on the topic of vent covers I ordered these, bit of a wait as ordered 9th June but came today.

Attached is pics. First is passenger side and other two are drivers seat. My M3P is a 2020 one so they’re definitely there. I found it best to push chairs all the way forward, then lift as high as possible. It came with tape to stick in place but just placed them over the top and as I have my seats on lowest setting looks as if they’ll be held in place well. Might need to replace with tape if they come loose

Edit: ive just realised the poor quality of the last pictures, it started to rain so I apologise!

does anyone have any recommendations for a LED bulb upgrade kit? Thinking footwells/boot/ froot etc

I’m guessing removability of the piano gloss centre console cover isn’t a deliberate feature? (See picture). Just popped off today. Barely touched it.

What do we reckon? A dab of super glue or will this cause me issues if I ever want to cover the console?

Agree with this, get it booked for a replacement part, that shouldn't have failed like that

If I book a SC visit does that mean I actually have to visit a SC? Just a bit of a cost/benefit analysis in terms of whether it is worth the effort. It definitely shouldn't have failed, but equally it is a piece of plastic I can re-attach with a bit of glue!

Request a mobile ranger, they can come and swap that over for you on the drive

For those with the Taptes wireless charger. How firmly should it sit in the console cradle? I'm finding mine doesn't "pop-in" as such and just rests there. It's fine, but relatively easy to dislodge. Is this just the way it is, or have I failed to fit in properly?

I've found mobile service pretty awesome, they will sort that no problem. They were able to replace my damaged steering wheel on my drive.

If you find any other bits on the car worth logging those get it all done at once

I just put my own address in to the app rather than picking a SC.

Absolutely agree with this. I bought 2 in the end. The first for the cable and a second for the steering wheel disklock which I'm using on occasion as I'm still a little wary of the whole smart phone security thing (I do have PIN to drive too).

+1 for the Ducksback - just the job.

Abstract Ocean - really pleased with mine - Foot-well/trunk/puddle light/glove box - if you go for foot-well make sure you get the correct type as they dim when you are in "gear" if you have ambient lights selected in settings.
