Just went past the Amesbury charger and can see that they are digging up the road next to the charger. Looks like they might be connecting it up to the grid. Hope so as 6kw charging at Tesco's whilst free is getting boring.
It's quite exciting when you see the Supercharger network extending into completely new territory i.e furthest north, south, east, west ....
It is, especially when for quite some time the whole new installation process seemed to have stalled, made worse by the half finished sites that were/are just languishing.
I have to say that of all the places in the UK to put a V3 charger, Ft William would not have been near the top of my list.

Why not? It's a long way to the next one. It's OK for you guys in the south who are drowning in superchargers. Anyway my son was there today in his MX and could only get a slower charge because Fort William is not on the map yet and he didn't get preconditioned.
If you don't charge quickly enough in Ft Bill a seagull will eat your chips. and the midgies will eat you Then you would be Mr Hangry, Mr Itchy and Mr Miserable. Don't begrudge us jocks our precious electrons.

Fort William is a fair old drive from Edinburgh and there are loads of tourists there already. We need to attract tourism in the Highlands and V3 superchargers are a good start.
Yes, Edinburgh is having to make do with ye olde original 2 Supercharger stalls beside the airport but is supposed to be getting a new site just along the road beside the Service Centre. The significance of Fort William is that it extends the network beyond what presently exists. I have no doubt that it will be well used.

Is the Taycan plugged in? I heard that CCS cars could charge off superchargers due to some sort of bug in the handshake process but if the engineers upgraded the f/w last night per a previous post might not be fixed? [edited. no it's not didn't look at the picture properly
Aye assuming 1. Edinburgh SC gets the parts for my CCS upgrade and 2. No travel ban by me in a few weeks, hopefully!
