Did you accept delivery? How did it go? I may or may not have driven by the MDR delivery center hoping to peep your Black Y in person but I didn't see it :/
Yes, I did accept delivery of my black on black, Model Y w/ PUP and FSD today (ordered Aug 2019). My wife and I called when we arrived at the Marina Del Rey, CA delivery center at 10:00 am as scheduled. A Tesla rep, Anthony, came out to greet us because even though this was a touchless delivery, I wanted to inspect both exterior and interior before purchasing the car, so he let us into the car. My wife and I spent about an hour going over everything very thoroughly. Anthony stopped by every few minutes to see if we had any questions. I pointed out two items that I was not pleased with but not enough to reject the car: frunk and charger door fitment about which I’ve seen several posts in this forum. Anthony said he believed Tesla would repair them if we made a service call soon (more below). All in all the delivery process was a good experience.

My wife has a 2019 Model 3 which I drive quite a bit so it was good to feel the driving comparison between the two. The MY handles very similarly to the M3, except it’s not quite as flat in turns as you would expect given its height. You do feel the higher seating position and driving perspective in the MY vs. the M3. The MY rear seating feels much more spacious than the M3 with more legroom, even though they’re comparable in width. The MY ride is very smooth and quiet. It seems as responsive and peppy as the Performance M3, although I haven’t really driven it very much, just a few miles on highway and city streets.

I finally got my text to set up a delivery appointment! I had never received a text prior to this one. In addition, the source code had not changed last night when I do my nightly scan. It looks like everything just happened this morning.

MY Order Details: Blk/Blk LR AWD FSD 19" No Hitch
Order Date: 03/2019
Pick Up: This weekend from Burbank, CA
Vin: 17XXX

I've noticed people refusing delivery based on the problems they see when they inspect their MY. I'll be sure to print out the checklists I found from other MY posts.
 
finally got my VIN today ...

if you guys are financing it .. send a mail to [email protected] and they added someone who gave me VIN number in 2 hours with MVPA once I showed I have auto loan approval.. they are prioritizing based on cash payments/ documents ready.. if you are financing and put bank details and nothing after .. it will held for a while. this is a good way to prioritize the VIN assignment . if you have your delivery specialist email id than mail him directly ..

Are you financing through Tesla, or did you show them approval from your bank (I thought you had said a CU in another post)?
 
Yeah, I agree - thanks for the tip! I just emailed them. We have the exact same order, both w pick-up from Fremont, and mine is from June 2019 so even earlier than yours I believe, so there's no reason why mine would be delayed other than the financing (I got 1.99% 36 months from my CU, so no reason to pay cash or go through Tesla...)
