Thanks! I hadn’t realized that until after I ordered it. That’s the 1st thing the sales advisor told me. Here are some pictures from the yard. 2014 Tesla Model S

Nice! I'm getting a black one as well, 2015 70D though with AP. It's not performance but looks like the old owner put in the red caliper brakes and carbon fiber spoiler and chrome deleted grill .. so it kinda looks like a P model. LOL!

High miles with 67K but for $32k - I feel like I got a great deal on it.

Does anyone know - was the center console an additional option for 2015's?

I ordered my 2014 Tesla Model S 85 Black 5/4/2019 located in Paramus, New Jersey 300 miles away 5 hour drive from Virginia, I would be driving my old car up to trade in and pick up the tesla. I was emailed 5/8/2019 by the Delivery Advisor. Worked through all of the required steps confirming trade-in amount, etc. I used Alliant for financing. Waiting on title for my trade-in to arrive to send picture in for confirmation. 5/10/2019 send in picture of title. 5/13/2019 trade-in info confirmed, scheduled pickup date of 5/18/2019 5:30PM. 5/14/2019 received MVPA. Contacted by Tesla at pickup location for missing document. 5/15/2019 finalized loan. 5/16/2019 Confirmed payment received for car by Tesla. Contacted by Delivery Experience Specialist at pickup location to confirm personal info, trade-in info and pickup date/time/location. 5/18/2019 drove up in horrible traffic, I was running late by 30 minutes due to traffic. I called en route and let them know my arrival time, no problem. Arrived 6PM, looked the car over, logged odometer on trade-in, signed all of the paperwork, moved all of my stuff over to the tesla. Left from Tesla at 7:00PM. Got home safely with no issues about 2AM, I stopped to charge twice as I was in the fast lane the whole trip down to Virginia. Once at the halfway point and at my local supercharger so the battery wouldn't be low at home.

I think so too! I was literally about to pick up a local 2013 85 for $29k (which was also a great deal!) - but then I saw this one the night before! lol.

It has the sub-zero package and upgraded power liftgate. Also has the center console - so the past owner added a bunch of options which makes the $34k price I paid (with shipping) so good, i think.

No pano or moon roof - but I don't mind at all. It looks like it's in great condition too:

Hoping that it looks good when I pick up!

nice - congrats! wish I still lived in NJ. Found some NY/NJ vehicles I could've probably picked up in person during my search.

How did the pictures they originally sent compare to the actual vehicle? Any surprises?

Hei guys! I've been going through this (and other similar threads) for a while now. I'm in the 'usual' pickle of used S vs new 3. I just like how the S looks more. I've been on a drive test and can't think of anything else since.

Small issue is that I see less and less facelift S deals on ev-cpo. Is this a current trend or just more and more people are buying one?

My ideal setup is facelift, dual motor, AP 2.0 and at least some of the options included, Red, for under 60k. Is this a unrealistic expectation? The way ev-cpo looks now, it kinda seems like it, but on the other hand I keep expecting the inventory to grow there because of possible 2016 lease returns.

Also, last question, to minimize the buying process headaches and delays, would it help if I buy one from a location where I can go pick it up myslef, have no trade-in, and pay a downpayment + finance the rest through Tesla. Is this a fair assumption?

I would really love to avoid looking for this outside Tesla as it's a lot of $ for me and I wouldn't feel comfortable not having the 4years 50k miles warranty.

@cucubits, while no expert by any means, I'd say yes, it would. At a minimum it definitely helps remove a few variables and it seems like the transporting aspect causes timing challenges at a minimum.

@cucubits

For me, I haven't had any real issues with my trade-in. Tesla quoted me $7700, went to carmax and got $9000 offer, showed to Tesla and they matched - no issues.

Financing is the same - I made my deposit and will have a cashiers check from my bank ready when I pick up this weekend (HOPEFULLY). Account is flagged as PAID on my portal. Smooth (so far).

I think the "issue" for me is the waiting. It probably would've been faster pickup if I chose a Seattle inventory , but they were way more pricey. I think just be prepared to wait and have patience - i placed order on 5/3 and the car is estimated to be in WA today and if all goes we'll pick up this weekend. So that's what - 22 days total?

I went with the S because I like the way it looks way more than the 3. I don't care for the 3's appearance outside or in. Full self driving or advanced auto pilot beyond AP1 isnt something I care about.

Prices are definitely up, I bought a 2016 Model S 85D with every option and 21 inch wheels, 44k miles with the 4 year warranty for $45,800 at the beginning of the month. There isnt even anything close to that anymore.

Same here but I would like one with HW2.0 and free supercharging. I don't have the option to charge it at home with anything other than a standard 110v plug but I do have a supercharger close.

Looks like for now my best bet is to sit on my hands, wait and watch the market. I'm not good with waiting.

Car is still MIA. Friday the eta was 5/20. Today the car is still sitting in a San Diego. DS hasn’t responded all day and never responded Friday. 800 number says the manager of DS has been brought into the situation. They also mentioned a Tesla customer satisfaction department that would oook at all the call notes after this is done and may come up with some sort of consolation offer. I won’t hold my breath.

We seem to be in a very similar situation although I have not waited as long, deposit was placed on 5/7. I called the 1-800 number today and she was able to ping the car and it has not moved. She said it was approved for shipping but was waiting for pickup. Mine is going from Florida to Salt Lake but maybe Tesla is having shipping issues across the country.

Tesla is Super Slow they used an outside company to ship. They actually sent my car to NY and I was supposed to pick up in Vegas even has the plane ticket. Now they are shipping to Mn for free supposed to be here by 26th. We are dealing with very young new folks plus all the logistical issues. They have us by the you know what’s.
