With Range Mode re-enabled (I usually leave it on)

Late 2013 S85, 33k miles. 234 Rated Miles @ 90%.

(won't know 100% until my next road trip, but it's very likely 260, since Range Mode seems to add 2-3 Rated Miles)

I did a range charge this morning, and it did charge to 260 Rated Miles.

Update:

After letting it sit for a bit before I left, I noticed it changed to 261 RM. I I guess it did some more balancing or (estimate updating) after the charge was complete.

261 RM after 33,760 Miles is not too bad.

Just curious....wanted to see some people info just for fun and discussion purposes.

I have a 70D, received it a week ago. At pick up the 90% charge gave me 213 range. This morning my 90% gave me 215 range.

I suspect it has to do with my driving style calculated. I am averaging 304kw/mi according to the console.

I live in Southern California.

My 90% now is 217 with average 302 kW / mi

Very similar mileage, same pack and almost the exact same age as mine. We're within 5 or 6 Rated Miles of each other.

57,500 miles, VIN 1267 (A-pack), 90% is around 224 miles most days, today was 232 after a weekend of odd charging behavior. Real world range seem to be down as well. A full charge is around 254 miles, but at highway speed I'm probably only getting 220 miles.

In the interest of scientific data collection based on a gauge which is based on your driving:

S85 VIN 00064, 80,000 miles, 35 months old, Pack Type A

90% gives me 222 miles. That's about 7% loss.

Time to trade it in!
Very consistent with my VIN 1571, 50,000 miles, 33 months old, Type A, or as I prefer to call it, a Classic battery. 90% for me is 226 miles.

85D - Got mine in 3/31/15. Started with 243, lately its been 231-235. Kinda disconcerting when I've only got 3k miles on it. :cursing:

Don't despair, just drive the car. The miles will be there when you need them and you can always do a pack balance every 6 months or so to find out what the degradation really is. The 80-90% daily charges will really skew the numbers, it's best not to worry too much.

Thanks...I've kinda taken that approach. I didnt know about the balance thing. Is that something you just request at the SC?
