White on White Interior Waiting is pain

Update, had ordered a white on white performance July 26th, called today and was advised by a manager it will not be built until end of September, he looked at the factory online, WOW! Decided to order midnight silver and manager threw in homelink and all weather mats to cover the 1k in upgrade paint. I am in Las Vegas and my car, midnight silver with white interior is in Reno and will be delivered early next week. So at least I will have a car and they made it right. However, those of you with white on white, be prepared to wait I guess, not sure.

Today, the delivery specialist at the Tesla service center (in Roswell, GA) told me: "No vin yet. I have you and a couple of other client's still waiting for their performance Model 3. Just a popular configuration."
I've already ordered & received front and rear trunk all-weather cargo mats, along with all weather floor liners, and had the Wall Connector installed in my garage. I also ordered & received a 128GB micro SDXC card and micro SD card reader for the dash cam, and I ordered a Nomad wireless phone charger (on back order, expected next week). So I am primed up and ready... just need a car to put all these toys in!

Ordered White/White Performance M3 August 3rd, so three weeks as of today. Also received the same exact message.

Ungh. Just received this text message -
Thank you for ordering your Model 3! We are waiting for a few finishing touches to be made on your vehicle. Please expect another 3-4 weeks before we reach out to schedule you for delivery.
I placed my order 16 days ago, on Aug. 8. My guess is that when they say “reach out,” they mean they will have a VIN. That works out to Sept. 14-21.

Just heard from a referral and getting the car Thursday August 29th. Order date was Friday August 16th - when he was at the Tesla store and saw my car. Exact spec I have: white/white LR AWD 19s.
Ordered a white/white Performance Model 3 on 7/29 and received the same text. Officially frustrated. We sold our car based on that estimate and according to the local Sales Manger there is nothing they can do. Not even comp a different color or offer accessories to offshoot the cost of the upgrade.
How is this acceptable? Bait and switch?

Got a text message this morning:
"Thank you for ordering your Model 3! We are waiting for a few finishing touches to be made on your vehicle. Please expect another 5-6 weeks before we reach out to schedule you for delivery."
Talked to my local delivery center, they said they're getting tons of people calling in about that text message that are pissed and weren't warned about the notice going out.
I ordered on 7/28 (4 weeks tomorrow). I was just offered $100 in Uber credit to cover the lack of a vehicle. $100... to Uber around for 5-6 weeks. I told them they'd have to do a whole lot better than that and thrown in a bunch of car accessories, all-weather mats, etc. They said they'd look into it. *eyeroll*
I suspect they put the US customers on hold while they spit out the EU and AU cars that they just made a big public thing about.

Waiting for White/White was well worth it. I ordered my LR AWD M3 with 18” Aeros on July 28th and just picked it up today. It rides great and looks fantastic. When I take my first long trip and use the Super Chargers we’ll see how that goes. For those waiting... keep the faith cause when you sit in it and start driving it you’ll be glad you waited.
Thanks. Like I said in a previous post, the only thing I noticed after getting home was was panel gap difference from the left side doors to the right side doors. And also the left rear taillight area as well. Can the service centers adjust those if I make an appointment to get thme looked at and fixed?

I ordered two cars the week of August 5, P3D Black on Black and P3D White on White for Wifey...
Took delivery of mine that Friday 8/9. Now looks like she’s going to have to wait till the second week of October. She is PISSED OFF to say the least. Two Tesla connectors installed and one P3D LOL.
